Why not get this started? It may be 7 degrees where I sit currently but the Crew packed up and hit the road for Spring Training yesterday:

Pitchers and catchers report today!
We will not be spending the month of March in Phoenix this year as I am more interested in the NCAA first two rounds in Milwaukee (2004,2010,2014 & 2017) But, as in the past several seasons we have a 20game pack to Crew games. Been reading about ST in the MIlwaukee paper online every day. Chicken, do you expect any action in the chatroom for games this season, or has there been in recent seasons? How about UW games?
I think we are trying to hard with Scooter
Scooter Gennett in LF today against UWM, but expect to see a lot of Hernan Perez there in the first week of games as he preps for WBC.

So will the young pitching make them competitive?

Talk about talent wasted
Whtie Sox Request Release Waivers On Brett Lawrie https://t.co/JE7aOItGVS pic.twitter.com/ZhWBVOVRT1

But wasn't everyone upset that Melvin traded him because he was the "future?"
Brett Lawrie (career 15.2 WAR in 6 seasons) for Shawn Marcum (4.3 WAR in 2 seasons with the Brewers)
Matt LaPorta (career WAR -0.9 in 4 seasons) for CC Sabathia (4.9 WAR in 17 games) and probably the best half-season for a Brewer starting pitcher ever.
In both cases, they were the top prospects in the system and people we were concerned we were giving up the future for short-term rentals.
No matter how they look in the minors, baseball prospects are the hardest to project.

No.
Hard to not like Tim Dillard
Ever wonder what goes on in the mind of a veteran reliever during camp? @DimTillard shares his inner monologue: https://t.co/CENBE0tNyU pic.twitter.com/w00DzlnfWp

Ryan Braun stating Spring Training is too long, for most veterans-yes. Allow 3,5,7,10 yr vets to report at their choice with a minimum of 2 weeks position/3 weeks pitchers at 10 years.

It's pretty amazing that Lawrie fell so quickly but I think he's got a bit of a knucklehead element to his personality.
Mat Gamel was another guy I think of (like Laporta) that was highly regarded and really amounted to nothing.
Gamel was always hurt. Talented, but injured.
King of bad timing.
Tim Tebow was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts today. 4-for-24 (.167) with no extra-base hits, no walks, eight strikeouts in Grapefruit League.

Well, he's a football player, so not a surprise he's Jordaning his baseball opportunity.
INF Rickie Weeks and RHP Tommy Hunter have been informed by Cash they have made #Rays opening day roster.

Scooter put on waivers and claimed by the Reds:

Figured the club may be able to get something for him but I guess not as Stearns doesn't seem to having any problem pulling the trigger.
I fully expect Scooter to light up the Crew all season long.
his 2.5 million could be better spent than a limited platoon utility player. No hard feelings for Scooter, not every second baseman in the organization can be Rickie Weeks.
What are the chances we can hit opening day without Garza on the roster?
El-Ka-Tease
Good for Scooter and good for the Reds. I liked him as a player but he was making a lot of money for a guy that basically has become a bit player.

The Brewers should thank the Mets every day for bailing on the initial GoGo deal.
Wilmer Florez- Plays all over the infield, but not really a starter (will start for the Mets this year due to injury). A slightly better Hernan Perez?
Zach Wheeler- Hasn't pitched since 2014. He's on track to pitch this year and likely in the Mets rotation (due to, again, injuries). Still not sure what Wheeler will bring to the table, but as of right now, bullet dodged.
RHP Matt Garza (strained right groin) will open the season on the 10-day disabled list.
