It's very similar to the Kings series going in- hot goalie, physical team. But the Bruins are much healthier. It's going to be an interesting series. My pops talked about the old Russian teams- puck possession, speed, depth, endurance. Going against physical teams that forecheck hard. I'll take the better skating and faster team any day. Hawks in 5.
This is a lot like the Kings series- game 1 the opponent comes to Chicago and plays a helluva game but loses. This time around, expect the blowout. The extra day rest helps the Hawks more be aide if their depth, and injuries are taking their toll on the Bruins side. They're both excellent teams, but this is the Hawks' year I think. If Chicago wins tomorrow, it's over in 5 as predicted. Look for the Hawks' top line to start out-racing the Bruins top line a little more in game 2.
Bruins out-skate the Hawks badly and take game two. Hawks came out fast and strong in he first, but it looked like all Bruins after that. Had the Hawks on their heels the rest of the way it seemed.
The Bruins are a great hockey team, but I really am glad the Boston fans have nothing to crow about. I would prefer they go another 100 years without anything resembling a championship.

And nice, classy display Boston fans... Booing during the Conn Smythe and Cup presentations. Stay classy, loozahs...
Ugh I hate the fact that the Hawks won the cup. I respect the franchise as a hockey fan but with the Hawks winning it brings happiness to Chicago sports fans and that is something that I can't stand.
Man, I was so depressed after a power play in game 3, where the Hawks had trouble getting the puck past center ice. The transformation was nothing short of amazing.

From the middle of the 2nd on, Chicago blew so many great chances I was convinced that luck was just not on their side. The last goal seemed almost a throwaway play, trying to get a line change. And then Bolland finally showed up. There was a seemingly long pause from the bar crowd: "Wait, did that just happen?" Then bedlam.

Gary Bettman needs to be booed

I get that- but it's stupid. Have someone else introduce the award winner/trophies. It takes away from all of it. More class would have been to show some respect to the game and the award winners and grind their axe at another time.
