More proof that Packers are State wide.

Some may think lighting the Capitol Dome green and gold this week in honor of the Green Bay Packers is as easy as flipping a switch. But these three can tell you it isn't nearly that simple.

Early Monday morning, Trumpy β€” who earned the nickname "the goddess of light" during the 25 years she's spent overseeing lighting at the Capitol β€” unlocked door after door and led lighting expert John Hyatt and his colleague Jen Ahlstrom up multiple narrow passageways so they could transform the Dome's normal white glow to Packers team colors for the week leading up to Sunday's Super Bowl.

Any day I am not in Madtown is a good day.

The article at the end mentions that just green would be pea green so they use gold also. Mendota and Monona are pea green arent they? Madtowner's should like pea green.

Just a side note the State is out of money but they can burn $1,800 and have to bring a guy back in that was run out of town because of the economy to make it happen?

The Capitol does look cool at night when it is lit up.Too bad I cant go to Johnny Delmonicos for dinner or that Brazilian Cowboy all you can eat place.

But just look at all the money the Packers saved the nation by beating the Bears. It would have been millions of $$$$ if Obama had made good on his promise to attend the Super Bowl if the Bears had gone. Maybe the federal govt. will foot the bill for lighting the Capitol. Big Grin
Samba's is the name of the Brazilian restaurant on W. Gilman. It is on the second floor and they have excellent food. They prepare like 4 entries evry night along with 4 different salads and potatoes/rice . Then a few different deserts. Its like $50 for dinner and they bring you a sample of everything and you request more of what you want. Its really good food. Downstairs they have a Cuban place which always has great lunch specials.

The cooler is huge there and they have 50 different beers on tap from all over the world. Madison is a decent place to go really I just had a bad accident happen there.

I have not been to the Waupaca bowl for 20 years(my kids were young then) and the Airport Lounge I have not been there and probably wont go. I have been to the old strip club about 20 yrs ago that was in a old farmhouse which is now part of the newer Hwy 10.

I live out in the sticks but in under an hour I can get to GB ,Beansnappers, Fox Cities , Stevens Point and Wausau. I prefer to live were there is peace and quiet so I can hear my chainsaw running when I am cutting wood.I have Deer and a flock of wild turkies in the woods.

Oh dont forget about the Chain O Lakes one of the finest and clearest group of lakes around. It almost became like the Dells but some people didnt want it. I dont go out on Fri or Sat though it is too crowded with flatlanders.
