Ward STILL would be the best receiver on the Bears squad.
I'm hoping and glad that DD's situation doesn't end up like Ward's.
Ward's production dropped much more dramatically than Driver's did. Driver actually came on a bit near the end of the season, and he was the only receiver who played well against the Giants in the playoffs.

Agreed, but $$$ definitely plays into both of these situations. It sounds like the Steelers didn't even offer a salary reduction, while it sounds like the Packers and DD have agreed to restructure?
The Steelers will be making several cuts in order to keep Mike Wallace AND create some cap space. DE Aaron Smith will be getting the ax and James Farrior thinks he may be next.
