It was good to get our wet-behind-the-ears (building on your theme) secondary a game against the Rams. Jaire could take care of Kupp; the other pups had lesser guys. This week will be a better test, and then it gets progressively tougher to Mahomes. It gives the pups a ramping up every week, so we'll soon see how well they actually do.
A glitch in the giddyup may be Jaire's back. Despite having a really good game against the Rams, he did not look comfortable. He didn't even celebrate his plays like he normally does, and he's been a step or two behind receivers. Now he's missed more practice. If Jaire is out, and without Sul, the kids will be tossed into the fire, and we'll find out how talented -- or not -- they are pretty quickly.
I like that they shut up Cooper Kupp.
I wasn't aware of what Kupp said or says. What was it?

Some interesting comparisons between Tomlin and MLF, and offensive complexities between the two teams.
I feel like this game will be similar to Raiders and Broncos in one respect. I think itâs going to come down to the final possession for each team and whichever team executes that possession best wins.
We failed on that last possession vs Raiders and Broncos but maybe this time around we execute a little bit better. Letâs hope so, this is definitely a winnable game even though the Steelers are maybe a tick above average and we havenât been quite at that level for the majority of this season.
The Steelers are 5-3.
Their wins are by margins 3, 4, 4, and 5. Included is a nice win at home against the Ravens.
Their losses are all by margins of double digits - 23, 24, and 10. Included is a blowout at Texas.
The Steelers are beatable.

IDK how many watched the entire Sternberger interview but a ton of interesting observations from a guy who played for both the Packers & the Steelers;
Asked about differences between MLF & Tomlin
- Tomlin is the "alpha male", a motivator, everyone knew when he was in the building, never talked with you about offensive concepts, etc., only about being physical and aggressive (probably why Jace got cut before there regular season with them).
- MLF is more the tactician, extremely detailed, more about execution , not the leader that Tomlin is, but could develop that more as he gets older and more experienced.
Asked about the differences in offense:
- said in Pittsburgh the play card install may say " 5 yard slant" for his route, in GB it would have a number of contingencies based on coverage. Said his head was spinning, especially if they came to the LOS with two different plays they could run. Said it doesn't surprise him at all that the offense has struggled with so many young guys.
Asked about what offensive install meetings were like with AR
- Said surprisingly that Adams was more vocal about questioning concepts than AR was, but not in a negative way.

The Packers Oline wonât have an answer for TJ Watt and even though the Steelers offense sucks, the Packers D has too many injuries to repeat last weekâs impressive performance.
