On NFL Gameday this morning refers to them as "My Packers."

Really you self-serving clown? Because Wisconsin and the organization have a special place in your heart? Does anyone outside of Wisconsin even remember you were an NFL player?

This is outrageous and needs to be addressed immediately.  Thank you Foo for alerting us to a statement many of us never saw, but would, no should, be violently upset about.

If we let this slide, what is next?  Where is the line people, where is the line?

Yes Rev-Ka-Bong, Amen. Many of us are ignorant of such atrocities. Thankfully, I just found this website called YouTube that is quite possibly the greatest website ever. I use it all the time to learn about this ****.

I remember being pissed about his holdout but he was one of the few bright spots for Packer fans back then.

Nailed it.

Ease up Foo. Other than his bull$hit holdout, I really liked Sterling & still do. He's pretty decent on the show.

He did pick the Packers today & he probably says "My Packers" because he's in the Packer hall of fame

Tom Waddle just made a joke about Sea TE Luke Wilson being in "Wedding Crashers."  Colin Cowherd had to correct him that this was Owen Wilson.

The thing that chaps my ass here?  LUKE WILSON IS AN ACTUAL ACTOR!>!1.

Why not a joke about how much I liked him in Anchorman?  or Rushmore?

If I start watching morning TV more, I may run out of outrage before noon.

I truly believe Sterling Sharpe is HOF player.  Yes his career was cut short but his numbers in that span were unprecedented for a WR and it's not like teams didn't know he was the 1st and last passing option.

Yes he blew off the media and turned away some fans but he remains (in my view) one of the most dominant PLAYERS of his era.

WOW!  There are a lot more things to bitch about from all the pre-game shows than calling out Sterling Sharpe for saying, "My Packers."  If James Lofton said 'My Packers" would you be as outraged?  How about Jim Taylor? Hornung?  Bart?

"My big brother, Sterling … I'm the only player of 267 men that's walked through this building to my left that can honestly say this: I'm the only pro football player that's in the Hall of Fame, and the second best player in my own family."

Agree about Sharpe and HOF. IMO, he was a better WR than Cris Carter, Andre Reed, Art Monk, etc.

It's Sudetenland all over again!  Sanctions against NFL Game Day and this ruthless act of aggression is not enough!  We need to invade.

Sharpe's career production reminds me of Gale Sayer's. Dominant for the interval and era he played in. Sayer's election to the HOF is kinda curious. Can't think of anyone else who got in on "might have been".

Another 3 years of Favre chucking him the rock and Sharpe would have been a first ballot guy.

Sharpe's greatness was obvious to anybody that remembers his time in GB.  He was a beast.

My only knock on the guy is I recall him never speaking to the media... kind of like Lynch today.  Now he IS the media.

Whoever mentions "Wedding Crashers", and subsequently fails to acknowledge that Vince ******* Vaughn was also in it deserves to be shot.

Around 1992 or so, one of my roomates was pretty close friends with Sharpe's girlfriend at the time named Susan. He'd invite Susan and Sterling to show up to our parties at our place on Bodart Street, but we never got Sterling to show.  His loss!!!

Even though we couldn't get Sterling to come to our college parties, I still loved him as a player.  He was playing extremely well and at the peak of his career when he got hurt.  As many great receivers as the Packers have had, he might have been in the top 3 right along with Lofton and Hutson in terms of pure talent.

Sterling Sharpe is the best WR I've ever seen wear the green and gold. Who the hell really cares if he didn't talk to the media. He was the best WR, along with Rice, in his time in the NFL. Catch a bunch of passes and score a bunch of points for my team, and we're good.

Now, if Brad Jones decided he was too good to talk to the local media, that may bug  me a bit.

Read the entire post. Picked against us multiple time this year even when we were the clear favorite.

So what? Check out a game thread some time. All the bitching and moaning, "The End is Here" bull****.

It is time to stop listening to the silly pre-game shows. It is time to enjoy cold beverages and hot food.    It is time to fire up for the biggest game of the year and the most satisfying victory in a long time.  IT IS TIME.

Show me the game prediction posts where people here pick against us in games where we're favored.

"Please don't "talk down" to me like that in a post.  You are the one that embarrassed yourself with that last post.   Use the PM if there's a problem.  Absolutely no reason for you to post that gibberish unless you want to flame.

Anytime someone steps up with politics on one side, I will try to "balance" things out.  The problem is that everyone is so used to it and when the other side speaks up, all of sudden it's "a cause" or something.

Notice the problem in the first post or don't bother responding to the responder.

I don't have a problem with you or anyone.  However, I've seen enough liberal politics thrown into topics/posts that don't need to be there.  So, I am sure TimesFour isn't a political arm of any party or political thought.  So, reply to EVERYONE with your banter when politics is brought up.  I could give a rat's ass what your political beliefs are....I am not a conservative either, I am an independent/libertarian.   I am just tired of seeing the liberals take digs here and there and not get called out on it.

It is time."

Never anticipated MM getting the best of Belichick and I picked the Pats.

As far as Sharpe goes, he should have dealt with the media better and the holdout wasn't a good moment, but the talent was there. On his way to Canton until the injury cut his career short.
