...it's dead.  Completely dead.  Stick a fork in it dead.

I was remembering back to the 2006 season.  The season that brought us Brewer's immortals like Chris Barnwell, Joe Winkelsas and Chris Mabeus.  Needless to say that team wasn't very good.  Despite that, one thing was for certain...the Brewers could be playing the San Diego Padres and each and every game would have it's own thread on x4 and each of those thread would be 3 to 4 pages long.

Looking at this board today and the recently completed Cardinals series got 6 posts total, 4 of those by the moderator.  The Cardinals.  Nobody cared.

The GM is out and hours later there isn't even 10 posts on the subject.

boris, if you can save yourself some money by sh*t-canning all of x4 outside of the Packer forum you might as well go ahead and do it.  This board is dead.

PackerJoe,  I think it is a product of what the Brewers are.  For all of my life I have been a dedicated fan and that is such a hard thing to do.  With the exception of a few years this team has been a dumpster fire throughout its history.  And this year has been such a disappoinment that all I can do is smack my forehead and shake my head.  There isn't much to say about this horrible year and we have pretty much moved on to preseason.

Years ago a friend of mine was given a great gift by his wife for his 40th birthday. 10 days, 8 games, 8 big league parks - CHI, MIN, CHI, MIL, DET, CLE, CIN, PIT... he had a great time. One observation/comment from his trip stuck out to him more than the others - but wasn't that much of a surprise to me. When he was in MIL, he noticed that during the game the fans around him were talking more about the Packers and the upcoming TC than the game they were attending.

We fans can duck in and out of enthusiasm for the Brewers.   This enthusiasm will ebb and flo with the teams success. I for one will continue to check the box scores, read most game recaps and articles about them but as usual this time of yr unless they are in the playoff hunt football is king.

the guy I feel for is the Uke....how many meaningless and boring games must one man endure. How many August and September games has he called that meant anything?

For one, we knew Melvin was stepping down for weeks so it wasn't really news.

As far as this board goes and lack of action, I would like to see the analytics compared to the other boards on X4.

My suggestion to increasing traffic and post is more gem threads like this: https://packers.timesfour.com/t...or-cam-newton?page=1
