Are the Vikings the Bronco's of the NFC?  Great defense and ok offense.

They look really well rounded and I'd even dare say the offense is better than what the Broncos showed.  They are playing smart and to their strengths.  Dink and dunk, RB by committee which opens up the big play and they are connecting.

It's early.  Every team can look like world beaters and **** the bed later but this is a very well rounded team and they are better with AP on the sidelines.

Has anyone else taken note that (at this time in the season) It looks like the Packers got the worst of the interdivisional match-ups this year.  Vikings as North champions get Carolina and Arizona....Packers get Atlanta and Seattle.

I can just swim the Mississippi River to La Crosse.  ha ha ha.

I lived in La Crescent for a short time during my college years.  It will not be nearly as bad there as it is here in the cities.   I really miss living in La Crosse, great Packer fans and cheap bars there

Back in the day it was 3rd street baby!  Miss La Crosse as well.

You have got to be kidding me......the queens ARE the only 5 - 0 team left standing???  Come on......REALLY???  Ugh......

Now, Henry, do you see why I talked about Goldie always finding the grass greener on the other side?

(Sorry, Goldie, but you're getting to be almost as fun as CalBuc when his teams suck, which is almost always nowadays. )

Do you see any reason to doubt that the f****** Queens will not have home-field advantage? They're 5-0 and the look a lot better than anyone else so far. Philly might come close, but we aren't there yet. Dang, they look good on D. The Texans are awful, but MN has proven to be tough.

One reason. They are the f***ing Queens.

I lived on 3rd and Pearl st. right above a sports bar on the NW corner,.  I threw up on 3rd street twice in one Octoberfest, literally on 3rd street   good times being young and crazy.  We would always go to a bar called Happenings,  metal blasting so loud that it made concerts seem quiet and $1 weeknight rail mixers.  Ahhh the blacked out memories.

You've never lived with Vajeen fans.

This reminds me a lot of the 2000 Vikings team.  That team started out 7-0 with a new QB that played on fire early in the year only to fizzle down the stretch and ultimately get blown out 41-donut in the playoffs.

They have a mediocre OL and a QB that is playing over his head and no way the special teams continue to play that well all year.  The offense is literally scoring 15 PPG if you take out defensive or special teams TDs.

Their front seven is good no question about it.  But you can throw on those DBs and at some point Bradford will either get hurt or implode or both.

They're catching people off guard because no one knew how Bradford would handle that scheme. Teams have 4 games of film on him now though, it makes a big difference when you can start seeing tendencies with how Norv wants to use his QB.

The other thing they're doing is playing deceptively simple and executing perfectly. That shouldn't be underestimated, they're very disciplined, especially on D.

Great post. Don't really want to turn this into a Viking thread but whatever.....

You can win a LOT of football games playing this way.

However, when you play a team that has infinitely more talent on both sides of the ball {Ahem, Green Bay}, you will be hard pressed to beat them if they match your execution. AKA playoff football.

Play good D....RTFB....

It's a proven recipe for success in the NFL.

However, unless your defense is HISTORICALLY good.... I'm talking 1996 Packers, '85 Bears, 2000 Ravens etc...... At some point, you'll need your QB to put the team on his shoulders & win a game.

Who here thinks Sam Bradford is capable of putting a team on his shoulders & carrying them? Just curious....

When the Packers lost to the Vikings, it had nothing to do with Bradford.

It had everything to do with the Packers playing like $#!T & not executing like they're capable.

The Vikings did what they had to do to win, so give them credit for that. They don't impress me....at all.

When you hold a team to 17 points, you need to win 99.9% of the time with Aaron Rodgers as your QB.

We shall see....right NOW they look pretty good. I can throw better than last years winner and I am 68.  Well perhaps a bit of hyperbole there but you get my point.

If, and it is a BIG if, Sam stays upright they got a shot.  GB will get a chance to derail them in Dec.  lots of games to go.
