Would love to see the Texans up end the Pat's later tonight. But not holding my breath.
OAK is hanging in there with KC.

Trevor Davis fumbled earlier but it didn't cost the Raiders.
Boggles the mind how the Pack lost a home game to the Chargers.
Road game.
Roam game.

I was there. You are correct. Home game in LA.
Holy shit Broncos...
Casey Hayward just lost the game for the Chargers with a bonehead penalty.
Ugh.....that was a horrible game for the bolts.....
I hate Denver so much......
and the damn play of the game was from the Packers/Giants game?? Really CBS.?? The only TD the Giants got was the play of the game??? for ALL the games played today??

Real?
Goldie's boyfriend just threw a big INT.
I don't remember seeing the Patriots look this bad. Brady looks really really old.
Texans on top 14-3 at half. Game isn't over yet.
Right. Just because a guy says he wants to play in his 40’s doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.
I hope GB is paying attention.
No way Martinez plays past 35.
My brother snowmobiled with Ken Stills. Surprised you didn't know that.
Enjoying the hell out of this. Looked like Laramie got away with a takedown on that pass.

Oh, heck. My kid is 15 and loves the boobies meme. (He just built a big dick in the snow and I told him he was dreamin’!) Geez, kids these days!!
Pats look old and slow, and Brady just looks and is acting like a cranky old man who’s trying to hang on. Texans look fast and dynamic, a mini-me version of Baltimore.
Gobbling up dainties at the table!
This Texans team is well coached. Dang.
Many people have said when Brady starts to diminish it will be fast and it will be hard. I think we are beginning to see it.
Will be interesting to see how he handles extreme cold weather should that happen later this season/playoffs.
Last week when they played Cowboys wasn't exactly pleasant. Rain & Cold. They hung on for 13-9 win.
Heard on the radio....last week. Belichick showed tape of Cowboys previous games when they were tripping DL to the officials on like a Tuesday or Wednesday. Showed the officials the formation & when to look for it. Well guess what. The officials called the tripping call on the 4th down completion.
That's why Belichick is a great coach. Any nuance of the game he is aware & using it to his advantage. The Patriots beat the Cowboys because of Belichick.
But man.....they looked old last night vs the Texans. They just had no answer.

Glad it happened! Pats are my second least favorite team.
I'm not convinced it's the beginning of the end for NE. They've had clunkers during the season before where they've gone on to win the SB. Last year being the most recent. The other factor is the flu like virus the team reportedly had mid week.
That said, they won't get past BAL @ BAL if it comes to that though Belichick will certainly have learned a few things from their first meeting. Depends on how hot BAL continues to play. Yesterday SF showed how to limit them so it will be interesting to see if any other D's BAL will face this year will be able to do the same.
Brady has much the same probs that AR has....young recievers and TE's who sometime appear lost. Bill will most likely figure it out.
I thought he was done a few years back after a clunker, he wasn't. Gonna have to drive a stake into him ala Dracula. But it sure looks like he won't make till 45.
Watched Packer game in a sports bar sitting with a Ram fan and an Eagle fan, our attention going from monitor to monitor watching the various games and one of the guys watching Lamar Jackson said guys like Brees, Brady and Rogers are out of style, that the new QBs like Jackson, Mahomes and Watson are the future, with offenses looking like high school ball. Hard to argue with him. I know with Vick and Kapernick people said this before and the NFL DCs adjusted, but I have to think going into the next couple drafts that people will be looking for QBs like those guys.
Just like last year everyone was looking for a coach like Sean McVay.....
We've seen this before with dual threat QB's. At some point they always have to prove they can beat you with their arm because a good D will find a way to limit the run. SF limited LJ yesterday by making him pass. He's not bad but he's definitely not an elite passer at this point. Mahomes and Wilson are unique in that they have shown elite skills throwing the ball. I haven't seen Watson much so I don't know if his bad games had anything to do with his passing ability. LJ is also benefiting from having a very good RB in Ingram who together with LJ form a very effective running game - you could even consider LJ and elite runner. BAL also has the defense to complement that.
If anything, and this has been going on for years, teams will be looking to draft QB's that can throw on the run, a la AR and all his contemporaries.
The point that could make this other guy's opinion correct is that HS ball is focusing more and more on what you describe and seems like we're seeing fewer elite passers come out of college lately. In other words, NFL teams will be looking for "running QB's" because the well for elite passers is drying up.
A few years ago, Robert Griffin III might have elicited the same type of comment. Dual threat QB's never seem to last, though - except for Russell Wilson. It takes just one unfortunate hit.
Teams figured out Vick, they figured out Kaepernick, they will figure out Jackson. Maybe figure out isn't the right phrase, but they will force him to play a game he isn't comfortable with and he is effectiveness will level out. To me it's not about "passing" or being an elite passer, it's about being able to diagnose the defense pre-snap and post-snap and make the right call. Defenses are on their heels with him and he's able to dictate the game, once defenses are pushing back and forcing him to really churn his brain then we will get a better sense of his longevity. I'm not saying Jackson won't succeed, we just haven't seen how he holds up to being manipulated by a defense. It wasn't until Andy Reid got a hold of Vick that we actually saw some progression as a passer, I don't believe in Greg Roman's ability to develop Jackson as a passer.

He can diagnose until the cows come home but he still has to hit the broad side of the barn. He's not a bad passer but good D's will make him be a much better passer at some point.
Those guys look great until they get bent in half and have to change style. But, the NFL will use them up and then look for the newest trend. I mean, are you going to pass up a Trevor Lawrence (Clemson) just because he doesn't run like a deer? RGIII, Tua T., etc., have only so long before those big guys catch up and break you. Wilson has managed to survive, but I think he's the exception and not the rule. A guy like Mahomes will be able to adjust, but you wonder about Watson and Jackson. I think you'll see more guys who can throw on the run but also stay in the pocket and read and react like Rodgers, Mahomes, etc., as a happy medium.
