Just listened to Drew Brees describe the Super Bowl experience. He was commenting on SVP's radio show.

Said: Coaches and staff try to prepare players and the first-timers for the impact and magnitude of the game. But once you get there and then all the reporters, media and fanfare, flash-bulbs are monstrous and can be overwhelming at the start.

Prior to the game: the crowd, the celebrities, the pre-game songs and honors and the time they all take.

As a player you get so wound-up and have massive amounts of adrenaline pumping to begin the game. But then you have to wait for all hoopla to get done before they even toss the coin. By that time, the adrenaline rush can lead to a crash.

He said that each player will have to prepare for that to avoid getting too high and then crashing too low.

Steelers have the advantage with experience about all the hype and hoopla before the game for sure. One thing I feel good about is the Saints fared well against a Superbowl experienced Colts. Its up to the coaches and Woodson to get the players prepared for it all. They know this is a young team and I trust they will have them prepared. I love the comment MM said about we are not preparing for the Super Bowl, we are preparing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. That right there says alot about the mindset he wants this team to have.
