Dallas - The NFL announced today that Walt Anderson will lead a seven-man crew that will officiate Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Anderson, in his 15th season, has officiated in one Super Bowl, as a line judge in XXXV.

Besides the Super Bowl, he has officiated in three conference championship games, two divisional playoffs and seven wild card games.

The NFL grades officials and uses the the highest-rated officials at their positions. Super Bowl officials must have at least five years of experience.

Anderson's only game with the Packers was the New York Giants victory at Lambeau Field on Dec. 26.
