Highlights:

On undrafted players having more motivation: "There's incentive for all of them to be hungry, but don't know if there's any more for UDFA's. They're playing against other grown men who are equally as motivated."

On players like DuJuan Harris getting overlooked because of size: "We have certain parameters for different positions. You'd like to see ideal mesaurables like height, weight and bone density but everyone's different. We're not a moneyball team that goes strictly by the numbers. It's not an exact science."

On injuries and depth at WR: "Not worried any more than other positions. It's given young guys good opportunities and we're still very early in the process. Tyrone Walker and Myles White are also doing fine."

On Eddie Lacy being the guy they expected: "He's doing fine." (Sense a trend here?) "He has lots of pedigree and has worked hard since he's been here."

On if the number of injuries are increasing: "Worked with medical staff to analyze things and the number of injuries (this year vs. previous) are about the same. During training camp before game start, it always seems like there's more than there are. We have more technology today to examine players and find things out which helps us allocate playing/practice time."

On Ryan Longwell: Was a "Stone cold, ice cold kicker. Performed well in pressure situations. Good for him to be here."

Great ideas rooted in love.(R)

It is always good to listen to Thompson non-speak, but he did say a couple of things that are very very true, it is almost impossible to measure the soul of an athlete involved in a contact sport, physical gifts don't make you a star otherwise Vince Young would have been to 7 probowls by now, really great players like the game and they enjoy the contact( my interpretation) and work ethic levels the field for players (again my interpretation of his comments about money ball).

Thompson talking (again) today.

#PackersGM Ted Thompson with his first "he's doing fine" when asked about Micah Hyde.

Thompson on Sherrod: "I don't know. We'll wait until our medical staff clears him to play." Confident play this season? "Yes, we are."

hompson on Jolly: He's the same game, not talking about physically, talking about his makeup, mentality.

Thompson on when he'll decide between Crosby and Tavecchio: "It's just when you get comfortable with the decision." OK, then. #Packers

Thompson to @PackerReporton preseason games: "That's above my pay grade. A man in my position, you do it the way they tell you to do it."

TT on whether the Seattle 'Fail Mary' impacted his relationship with Seahawks GM John Schneider: "No... It's just a game."

Thompson on Bakhtiari: "He's done fine. ... Like all the rest of our rookies, he's done fine." That's two. Or, three.

Feel good about your draft class as a whole: "Yeah, they've done fine."

On if Vince Young was brought in to light fire under Harrell, Coleman: "No, if that did that, I think that's fine."

"We'll see, you never stop looking" when asked whether the kicker will either be Crosby or Tavecchio.

And this compilation from the 8/14 (last week) presser with Thompson:

That right leg is noticeably smaller (atrophy) than the left, is it not?

How dare you impugn his reputation like that ...Ted will deflect, non-answer, obfuscate and gloss- over but he doesn't lie to the reporters so far as I know

Sherrod's gait looks normal, no shuffling, leaning or instability. Can't really tell on the atrophy, but we've got some smart folks around here who can comment

They will just PUP him till October, buying an extra roster spot at cutdown time

There is no way to tell if one leg is smaller.  The left leg is in the air slightly contracted, the other one is on the ground slightly extended as he takes a step.  If he were standing with equal weight distrubution on each leg then you might be able to judge.

Q: What would you say to those who are worried that Aaron Rodgers is being protected by a pair of young tackles?

Thompson: It would probably depend on who the people were. Go on with their life, everything else will be fine.

Q: So you feel good with the offensive line?

Thompson: Yeah.

That's twice recently that Ted has basically told the screamers to STFU.  I wonder if he's getting a bit tired of the whiny, petulant spoiled ****s who think that their lives are garbage if GB doesn't win the Super Bowl every year and that it's Ted's fault if that happens?

I can't tell if one leg is smaller, but if I had to guess, I would say yes.

Sherrod looks to be favoring the injured leg, for sure.
