Packers had the right gameplan for the Eagles D. Rodgers was getting the ball out lightning fast, not giving those wide 9 Ends time to get home. Similar to the Giants game, the gameplan was focused on controlling the clock and keeping the D off the field. I expect the same thing with the Texans as they have the deep threats on O to force a shootout.

Mike McCarthy said Aaron Rodgers looked good in his limited work yesterday with his hamstring injury. "We had a set number of reps for him to take in the unit period and then he focused on the rehab," McCarthy said. "But everything went as expected."

Even though Eddie Lacy is done for the year, RB coach Ben Sirmans said he's still around the Packers every day. "He's still in the meetings," Sirmans said. "He still comes to the team meetings, he still comes to our individual running back meetings. He's still involved. It's good for him just to be around the guys. We like his presence in there, and it's good to keep him involved in football."

McCarthy said it would be a big hurdle for T.J. Lang and JC Tretter to get on the field this weekend.

I see we got Callahan back..

Rookie quarterback spent five weeks on Packers' roster

The Green Bay Packers have signed QB Joe Callahan to the practice squad and released WR Dez Stewart from the practice squad. The transactions were announced Friday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Callahan, a 6-foot-1, 216-pound rookie, was originally signed by Green Bay as an undrafted rookie out of Wesley College on May 6. After being released by the Packers on Oct. 13, he was claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints. Callahan was released by the Saints on Oct. 22 and claimed by the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 24, but was released on Nov. 29. In 2015, he became the first NCAA Division III quarterback to throw for 5,000 yards in a season, earning the Gagliardi Trophy, the highest award in Division III football.

OK, this is significant...

Jadeveon Clowney ruled out at Green Bay

Jadeveon Clowney AP

During his first two NFL seasons, Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney missed 15 games with injuries and fell short of expectations. But this year, Cloweny has stayed healthy and become the difference-maker on defense the Texans hoped he’d be.

Unfortunately, now Clowney is hurt again.

The Texans announced today that Clowney’s elbow and wrist injuries are serious enough that he will not travel with the team to Green Bay for tomorrow’s big game against the Packers.

Without Clowney to pressure Aaron Rodgers, the Packers’ offense should benefit. And beating the Packers will get that much harder for the Texans.

After watching the Badgers and their lack of a second half pass rush and clueless secondary play and the lack of their D coordinator to adjust why do I have an uneasy felling about today's game?

Hard to adjust when every receiver is better than every DB. QB just had to get the ball in the general area & receiver was going to win the battle for the ball.

Here in Georgia,  we would be done for about 4-5 days...or more....That reminds me, I should change my Screen name to Dave in GA.

Hey, Dave, what area of Joja? Gwinnett County here.

And no kidding about the snow. In Joja, they close schools before one flake of snow falls! And the snow-mageddon event from a few years back was epic!
