Guys who should be in their prime right now and what did that draft give the Packers?

12 picks and two one decent players and one pro-bowler, that's it. What a pile of crap.

Yep. Talking about draft's success 6 years after the draft is like handing out draft grades the first week of May each year.

I disagree. Pretty decent draft. I did expect more from Hodge however. Also, TT's rep as a farm system for the league is emphasized as Blackmon, College and Tollefson have contributed to other teams in the league (up to your own discretion on positive or negative).

I am curious how that draft was overall and what players were passed over for say...Cory Rodgers?

Much better than the 2007 draft that is for sure.

I think this thread needs a bit more research to induce some quality discussion.
Hawk dissapointment due to #5 rank. Colledge was "OK". Jennings star. Hodge injuries. Spitz "OK-Minus". rodgers was a midget, right? Blackmon injuries. 3 of last 5 worthless. Johnny Jolly helped win Super Bowl on his way to prison. Tollefson had a few good years just not in Green Bay. One wonders what might have been. Available FOR HAWK PICK: Vernon Davis, Haloti Ngata, or Donte Whitner. Colledge: Marcus McNeil, Greg Jennings, Devin Hester or Maurice Jones-Drew. For Hodge & Spitz? Owne Daniels or Jahri Evans. Will Blackmon? How about Brandon Marshall, Stephen Gostkowski orElvis Dumervil? By the way the imortal Charlie Pephrah was chosen 158 by NYG.
Colledge has been okay, just not for what you'd expect with a 2nd Rounder. Blackmon showed promise but had foot issues that he never seemed to get past. Tollefson is a good 7th Rounder. Jolly, IMO, would've been a tremendous pick if he could've stayed of the 'purple'.
That draft produced 1 pro bowler (Jennings), 2 average starters (Colledge, Hawk), and 4 solid back-ups (Spitz, Blackmon, Tollefson, and Moll). That's not that bad. And that isn't including Jolly, who was a very good player before he got into trouble off the field. You can't draft multiple pro bowlers every year.....
2005

Should we add 2005 in the subject line?

Too bad Collins career was cut short. Rodgers & Collins picks alone makes 2005 a corked bat, Albert Belle, 1,000 FT home-run.
