I never quite got the hate for Justin Harrell.
Injuries end careers, sometimes very early. This guy was outstanding when he was not hurt. A bit risky, but a good pick. He got hurt. Aaron Taylor was Ron Wolf's best first round pick--like Harrell he never got to play much.

Until lately Mason Crosby has been outstanding.

Desmond Bishop is above average.

Brandon Jackson was no star, but a decent player.
and Wynn was at least a serviceable body.

By most standards this would be considered a good draft.

I think the average career in the NFL is three years, so having 2 outstanding players on the roster 6 years later aint bad.

I just looked it up--it looks like players that make opening day rosters their rookie year average 6 years and 1st rounders average 9.3.
But still.... Ted sure likes his men young---2 from 2007 doesn't seem extraordinarily low.
In a normal to good year a solid ILB and #3 receiver with some roster chum isn't great but in '07 it was top-4 because the draft didn't produce much talent. The few stars kind of obscure how little that draft really added to the league. Any team that didn't hit on its first-rounder got almost nothing but Green Bay and Baltimore ended up with a couple of good players and were the aberration, not the norm.

Agreed, career shortened because of injury, but light years ahead of Harrell.

Until lately Mason Crosby has been outstanding. Outstanding may be stretch but he has been good outside of 2013.

Desmond Bishop is above average. Agreed.

Brandon Jackson was no star, but a decent player. Definition of serviceable. Expect more from a 2nd round pick.

By most standards this would be considered a good draft. No it wasn't. But as Hersh has pointed out this appears to be a bad draft overall. So decent for this one, but not good compared to his other drafts.

I have believed you don't have to draft em to get em and turn them inito football players. I used to keep track of former packers playing elsewhere and for a long time GB had almost another complete roster (53 players) on other rosters and the insatible GB talent machine churned out NFL prospects for the league. I haven't checked in some months but I believe ther are still 35-40 guys that Thompson and crew dredged up from here, there and everywhere and turne them into football players
