This is nothing like last year. Durant changes everything, including ensuring Curry doesn't have to try to do too much. Curry is playing the best ball of his career, and if Thompson is out of his dlump it's likely lights out.

Anybteam playing Cleveland in either game 1 or 2 gets their asses kicked. They were playing at an incredibly high level. James attacking, Love draining shots, in game 1 Irving was money in the lane time after time after time. GS simply pummels you into submission. They didn't play perfectly, and both were blowouts.

GS weathered the storm then put them to bed in the second half. This thing is over. 4-0, go Bucks in 2017-18!

Too many weapons that's for sure.  Cleveland looks overmatched on both ends of the court.

Somehow though I just have this sneaking suspicion that the league will find a way to keep this series close.  Old habits die hard and a 6 or 7 game series would draw monster ratings for what (to this point) has been an uneventful playoff year for the NBA.

The Cavs cannot keep this pace up can they? I'm watching these two teams absolutely attack each other, but just like games 1 and 2, all the slugging Cleveland is doing to stay in the game (or in this case, actually lead) and they're up 5 after 3. James and Irving look completely spent. You have to give them credit... not leaving any doubt about their resolve.

The most feared five-man lineup in the NBA. Golden State’s “Death Lineup” of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green strikes fear into the heart of opposing coaches.

The Warriors won the first two games in blowouts barely using the rotation, just 4.5 total minutes in two games.

But down with 6:30 left in a tight game, Kerr put in Green and unleashed the fully armed and operational Death Lineup.

------------

LeBron is the best player on the planet. He's AVERAGING a triple double in the Finals. LeBron is 55% and almost 39% FG % from the floor and 3pt line respectively. Kyrie is averaging 27 points per game in the finals. Cleveland is actually playing a spirited brand of defense which is very unlike Cleveland. Cleveland has thrown everything they have at Golden State. And they don't have a damned chance.

Last night Cleveland would have beaten pretty much any team in the NBA over the past 10 years. They played a damned near perfect game. Didn't matter. Cleveland was 12-1 coming into this series. They have played GREAT the first three games of these finals. And they are going to be swept.

Durant drilling by that 3 in Lebron's face with the game on the line tells the whole story of this series. The best player in the world with a sidekick playing at an elite level and a third option who is playing some of his best ball STILL can't defeat this team.

Part of the fun of the next few years will be toppling this juggernaut. And here's how it's going to happen- Lebron will be a Laker. Not next year- but in 2018-19. His new sidekick will be Paul George, and the young group of D Russell and Ingram will be the challenger. Irving will be a Spur, and the West will be unthinkably good at the top.

And the East will be Milwaukee and Boston, and maybe Philly (again).

You really think Lavar Ball is going to quietly sit back and let LeBron get in the way of the Chosen One in LA?!?!

As a "chosen one in training"? I think so. Lebron will be 34 by then. I think he's going to leave Cleveland, if for no other reason than my belief that he despises Cleveland ownership. I don't think he feels he owes that ownership group anything.

The whole trip back to Cleveland was to unstain his legacy. That mission has been accomplished. But the new juggernaut has risen, and you can bet he's eyeing the door knowing that Cleveland has albatrosses on their payroll and they'll never be able win another championship playing 45 minutes and 2 on 5. The Cavs can own the east, but they won't have a chance after this.

So where to go? LA. He can get plugged into the entertainment business and invest, he can play with a talented young team while his boss is Magic... Cleveland compared to that?

Lebron can play until he's 40+, but he won't sit in the EC and watch other rising teams overtake the aging Cavs roster.

that's what I think, anyway...

LeBron going to LAL would cement my ultimate hatred of both him and the most frontrunning team in professional sports history.

But it's also likely and predictable.  It's why I can't totally respect the guy.

Durant is getting killed for basically doing a   LeBron part II.    The super teams suck for the league but Bron is the architect of that bull**** so I will always have disdain for the  guy much like Bonds and McGuire.  They didn't have to do it but they did anyway.

I have run into a couple of articles touting Lebron as the greatest of all time.

I just do not see it.  No way.  Appreciating that he has had a couple game winning shots (I remember one was from long range to win a playoff game), he just does not shine enough in the crucial moments of big games.  He even sometimes looks to not want to be the guy taking the big shot.

Just no way.  No way in hell.

Speaking of the Lakers, LeBron, and Ball. I strongly urge everyone to spend 8 minutes and listen to Lavar Ball's interview with ESPN. A teaser. LaVar on life advice to his sons.

"I told them, ‘If you’re going to be disrespectful to your mom, I want you to be all the time.’ So, excuse my language right here, but if you want to say, ‘Good morning, bitch, that’s fine with me. I’m not going to say nothing. If you want to call your mom a bitch, that’s fine. But don’t get sick, when your stomach is hurting and you want me to care for you because you know I ain’t. â€Ķ She’ll clean up the throw-up, the s–t, whatever. She’ll take care of what you want. â€Ķ So don’t wait until you need something, or you need her to make you something, and now you want to be nice to her"

I think I know the point he wanted to make or tried to make. I think. But **** me is that the worst possible way I've ever heard anyone say "be respectful to others"

Full interview here.

I wouldn't draft Lonzo Ball. Ever. In any round. LaVar is ****ing crazy insane.
