Schobert doing all he can. Maybe put him on offense.
Shobert is freakin great.
Stupid block.
WTF is up with that....stupid
Wow, I thought maybe Stave had progressed, but not looking like it here.
Got there on 1st bounce.
Bone headed
Love me some Love!
Love me some Love!
Love to love him more than once a game
Ball game
Crap. Well that sucked. Had some hope for a minute too.
OK, back to the drawing board for QB.
OK, back to the drawing board for QB.
Again
Can there really not be a better QB somewhere in the country, if not Wisconsin, than Joel Stave.
What a pathetic, putz.
Too many mistakes. None of the role players stepped up to make plays.
Good job Iowa.
For Chryst being such an offensive guru, his offense has really sucked for the most part except against Miami. I expected better from him. Not impressed right now.

What about on their roster? No one has had the talent for 4 yrs to beat him out? How can that be?
Steve and the offense were horrible
I thought Iowa calling a TO on 4th down was doing us a favor.
Guys dropped catchable balls, but Stave also missed guys by a mile.
#Badgers Schobert 8 tackles, 4 TFL, 2 FF, 1 FR, 3 sacks and 5 hurries.

What a waste- can't run the ball, convert on third down or make the basic throws.
Cause he has the arm strength, size, accuracy, etc... that no one else on the roster or recruiting pool has. Then He shows improvement where you (and Badger coaches) think he's overcome the bad stuff. And then crunch time comes ....and the YIPS return. It's in his fiber.

Look on the bright side. Aren't they forced to start somebody new at QB next season since StavΓ© has used up his eligibility?
(If he still has eligibility left, I apologize and truly feel sorry for you.)
Probably could have won it with average to just slightly above average QB play.
Iowa is a good team but I think Nebraska and Minnesota are similar to them and thankfully they don't play a really good team or that could get embarrassing
I really can't lay all the blame on Stave--the OLine has really been nothing like what we are used to seeing in Wisconsin. But he really looked more like the Stave from the last couple of years that couldn't hit on some basic throws when he needed to. Just a couple of those completions and I think this one is an easy win for UW. Just all around ugly today on offense. Sucks to waste a great defensive effort.
Does anyone know why the game clock started at 2:03?
Stave had just completed a pass for a first down and the WR went out of bounds at the 2:03 mark. The ref signaled to stop the clock and they reset the ball. Then, the game clock started again while Badgers broke the huddle.
Is the rule under 2 minutes that the clock will stop until the snap?

I agree that the offensive line is way below what we've been used to seeing at UW it still came down to 4th and short with a 10 yard throw to an open receiver that Stave failed miserably at.
At the 6.22 mark they got the ball back, down 4, 3 time outs and in good field position. One player needed to step up, nada. 2 possessions and not one O player did anything. Stave had a couple of bad passes, the line collapsed on a couple, the backs could not get the edge on a couple, throw in a couple of drops, etc. It was a total O team loss.
I was at the Whitewater game so missed the Badger game. Sounds like the D played well enough to win but Buckys O was pretty much a no show in this one ?
The defense played well even though it is like playing with 10 men with McEvoy out there. Iowa also had an average starting position near the 50. Erickson got body slammed and ended up with a concussion. Without him out there, they don't have any threat at WR.
Why no call on the body slam? I thought they were going after those that cause concussions? Another non-call.

The Whitewater defense must have looked much better than they did in the game at Sioux City.
Erickson with a concussion. Great ! Hope he's not out too long.
Whitewaters D played a good game save defending the short passes in the flats. They ended up giving up 31 completions on 55 attempts for 265 yards, had 6 sacks a pic and held Platteville to -2 yards rushing. Good defensive game for both teams really.
My bosses son is the starting left offensive left tackle for Whitewater. 6-6 and 290+, a very big young man. Hopes to get a tryout with somebody.
