I really can't lay all the blame on Stave--the OLine has really been nothing like what we are used to seeing in Wisconsin.  But he really looked more like the Stave from the last couple of years that couldn't hit on some basic throws when he needed to.  Just a couple of those completions and I think this one is an easy win for UW.  Just all around ugly today on offense.  Sucks to waste a great defensive effort.

Does anyone know why the game clock started at 2:03?

Stave had just completed a pass for a first down and the WR went out of bounds at the 2:03 mark.   The ref signaled to stop the clock and they reset the ball.  Then, the game clock started again while Badgers broke the huddle.

Is the rule under 2 minutes that the clock will stop until the snap?

I agree that the offensive line is way below what we've been used to seeing at UW it still came down to 4th and short with a 10 yard throw to an open receiver that Stave failed miserably at.

At the 6.22 mark they got the ball back, down 4, 3 time outs and in good field position.  One player needed to step up, nada. 2 possessions and not one O player did anything. Stave had a couple of bad passes, the line collapsed on a couple, the backs could not get the edge on a couple, throw in a couple of drops, etc.  It was a total O team loss.
