Watching that hard knocks and seeing Danny Marino walk around like the godfather…that’s good juju we need to bestow that same role on Leroy 36 for our locker room, who’s with me knock on wood.

NYE celebration starting a few days early?
In the library with a candle stick?
oshbaul, that you?
Tuesday
Marino is under payroll as a "special advisor" for the Dolphins. I don't think LeRoy is employed by the team. He's just a TV and radio guy.
Why is that? Does LeRoy want it that way or does the team not have a role for him? Just curious...
Maybe he makes more in broadcasting or he's just not interested?
Just curious if anyone has any additional insight?
If you watch Hard Knocks In Season with the Dolphins you see a lot of Dan Marino around the facility. The players refer to him as Uncle Dan.
I guess pkr_north wants the Packers to have an Uncle LeRoy.
I just watched the latest episode. Marino is really tight with the QB room, obviously. During their secret santa he gave the QB room Isotoner Gloves.
But my best guess would be the position Marino has with the organization would be tough to justify financially for the Packers. It feels like they are just giving Marino $$$ to be around the Dolphins campus.
When I 1st saw this thread title a few days ago I thought it was about the anniversary of the Lambeau Leap. After seeing a few replays LeRoy was lucky. I think Reggie was out of bounds, his heel, when he completed the lateral.

There was a time when the Packers were willing to pay a certain ex-QB about $10M/yr to do that very thing.
