OF Clint Coulter is 3x3 so far today, with his FSL-leading 6th homer of the season

MT @Jake_Seiner Perhaps something brewing for OF Victor Roache. Five HRs for @BCManatees, all opposite field. Just 6 of 18 HR last yr to RF.
β Adam McCalvy (@AdamMcCalvy) April 26, 2015
Victor Roache extended his hitting streak to 9 games yesterday. He is batting .395 w/8 R, 2 2B, 3 HR, 10 RBI & 4 BB during that stretch.
β Brewers Player Dev (@BrewersPD) April 28, 2015
Encouraging stuff there.
Now, blow up everything at MLB level, add some talent to the farm, and plan for 18.
it would be great if he took another step forward by continuing to get out less. His slash line through 18 games is .405/.600/1.005
On rehab, Scooter Gennett was impressed by #Brewers No. 3 prospect. β[Monte] Harrison looks like the Under Armour mannequin."

Gonna have to go with this one again.
3-run shot for @BCManatees' Clint Coulter is #7; Tied for 2nd in @MiLB. #4 on @Brewers Top 30: http://t.co/VgYea4yLDc pic.twitter.com/Zw05nUv2TF

6 to be exact
Which is much worse than grounding out at an alarming rate?
The more jacks and strike outs the better. Putting the ball in play be damned
It's a feast or famine approach and minus 2011 it hasn't worked very well. Roache has been another one of those types of players until this year which again - maybe he's figured it out and is developing other than hitting HRs or striking out.
are we talking about wanting guys with good on base percentages or guys who don't strike out?
I'm open to taking guys like Bryce Harper and Giancarlo Stanton, even though they are #2 and #3 in strike outs.
Eye placement is probably more meaningful to this equation than strike outs
Victor Roache hit 2 homers for @BCManatees tonight. Has 8 this year. #14 on @Brewers Top 30: http://t.co/VgYea4yLDc pic.twitter.com/M9rhLSpq4k

More concerning is that he struck out twice as well.
Victor Roache is first or tied for first in the FSL in homers (8), total bases (78), extra-base hits (19), and RBI (28)

about time
2B Scooter Gennett has been optioned to Triple-A @skysox. RHP Corey Knebel recalled from Colorado Springs.

Wasn't Roache considered a top of the 1st round talent that was hurt and fell?
Brewers OF Clint Coulter, Class A Advanced Brevard County: 3-for-4, HR, 2B, 3 R, 2 RBI, BB -- Coulter just continues to mash. The 21-year-old is up to a .272 average with nine home runs in the pitcher-friendly Florida State League -- the latter figure is tops in the circuit. A converted catcher, Coulter has a ton of strength and raw power and shows good pitch recognition. Coulter had been mired in a 3-for-34 slump before breaking out on Wednesday.
.@BiloxiShuckers' Jorge Lopez allows 2 H (both in infield), 0 R in 5.2 IP #12 on @Brewers 30: http://t.co/VgYea4yLDc pic.twitter.com/p17tk0ahnG

Sad that one of the most active threads during the season is about the prospects/farm guys.
Summer festival season can't come soon enough.
Maderios with three solid outings in a row after getting knocked around earlier in the month.
Hellweg, who underwent his elbow reconstruction on April 29, 2014, has already pitched a handful of games in extended Spring Training. Brewers officials are encouraged by the velocity readings they've seen from the right-hander, who averaged 93.9 mph with his fastball during a '13 stint with the Brewers but threw even harder in the Minor Leagues.
Biloxi SS Orlando Arcia has been named the Southern Lg's Hitter of the Week. He had a league high 10 hits, six XBH, 18 TB, and 5 2Bs
β Brewers Player Dev (@BrewersPD) June 1, 2015
Arcia leads the Southern Lg in batting at .341. He is also 1st in doubles (17), 2nd in hits (62), 4th in XBH (21), 2nd in runs scored (33).
β Brewers Player Dev (@BrewersPD) June 1, 2015
Arcia is 4th in the league in total bases (90). He also has the lowest PA/SO ratio in the league at 12.63 PA for every strikeout.
β Brewers Player Dev (@BrewersPD) June 1, 2015
and you have sardinas that can play short during the next 1.5 years while you let arcia season in the minors.
He actually might be ready for the MLB now, but if I were Milwaukee I wouldnt be bringing him to the majors until June '16 at the very earliest. If he has a slight setback in AAA - then June '17. No rush on the kid. he is 20 and we aren't winning jack for a while... Do not rush any of these young guys.
Sardinas at SS.. call Gennett back up for 2b (I should have added that). Trade Segura (I think it is a no-brainer if you get solid value for him, which we will)
Sardinas sucks. He's got a little more pop than Kiki Diaz and no arm.
Michael Reed has been named Brewers player of the month for May. .380/.463/.658 in May, 30 H, 15 R, 7 2B, 3 3B, 3 HR, 17 RBI, 8x8 in SBs
β Brewers Player Dev (@BrewersPD) June 4, 2015
Jorge Ortega has been named Brewers Pitcher of the Month for May. 2-3 with a 1.54 ERA. 22 SO, 3 BB, 0.93 WHIP, .224 opp BA
β Brewers Player Dev (@BrewersPD) June 4, 2015
It was fun watching Medeiros pitch. He has deception and funky arm angle from left side. And he just turned 19 last week.
β Tom (@Haudricourt) June 4, 2015
How much does Medeiros' slider break? One hitter swung and missed at one for strike three and it hit him right in the groin. Amazing.
