Over the past 6 weeks I have seen a series of posts on the net regarding the start of #12's career including the fateful weekend when management told Brett, his agent, and his wife that he would no longer be the starter in GB.

Many of these stories allude to the "Brenda Warner" rant that Deanna had with TT
regarding his management style at that fateful meeting. Again a ton of "allusions and hints" I'm just wondering does anybody have any real information about that fateful meeting!!

God, if the hints are true I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at that meeting!

In early 2009 a X4 poster reported some 3rd hand details about that meating which confirmed what you are saying.

Sadly, it is widely believed that poster met a mysterious and possibly gruesome end sometime after posting that information.

Draw your own conclusions.
I don't believe I'm going out on a limb stating, the meeting had much more to do with Brett's attitude than it did anything Deanna said.

Sure I'm certain Deanna stood by her husband, no surprise there. Something tells me she would be more reasonable than Brett is.

Re-watch the interview with Greta & Brett. That pretty much tells you everything you need to hear/know.

They (Packer front office) tried to protect Brett's legacy but Brett would have none of that. I love the fact they took his locker out of the locker room and sent it to him. BRILLIANT!

"He does not get bored throwing the easy completion..." - Mike McCarthy on Aaron Rodgers (and IMO a direct slap to Brett Favre's face)

Entire quote is HERE

“He does not get bored throwing the easy completion, and that’s a great attribute to have as a quarterback,” McCarthy said. “He’s clearly in tune with taking what the defense gives you."

The funny thing about it, that was a goodwill gesture by the Pack, and Favre made it sound like he was insulted instead of appreciating that they thought it might be of some sentimental value for him. Suffice it to say, Favre and the Packer organization were definitely not on the same page those last couple years of his time in Green Bay.

Dammit, now I have to clean snot of my monitor.
Its often mentioned here that a great book could come out of all of this in 20 years, I just don't see Ted or Mike ever saying a word. Hopefully some fly on the wall in the talks is willing to open up.

I always assumed he was insulted by the gesture, because it told him the Packers were at peace with Favre retiring. He probably expected TT and MM to beg him to reconsider, and when the locker rolled into Hattisburg, Bert realized that these guys weren't playing the genuflecting game that previous regimes had.

I bet it was then he decided to let the world know that hell hath no fury like a butthurt Bert.

That is exactly what he wanted. He made the Vikings play his game. TT and MM would not have it.
I always wondered how you actually send a locker to someone? I mean these are NFL lockers, not high school lockers. They always appear to be built right into the wall when I see players in press conferences. Inquiring minds want to know. My life will no longer be complete until I hear how this was accomplished.
Ship him his locker, personal shower, credenza, mirrors (guessing there's 4 of them), and massage therapist....er, table. All of it!

Packers are going to need more room in Lambeau for trophies.

The hard work of moving his locker was done a few years earlier when Brent decided that he no longer needed to share a locker room with his teammates. Moving it down to Hickville was simply a matter of removing a few bolts and loading it onto the plane.
