The Vikes D is really good. That D can win every game for them especially at home. A lot like Seattle and Denver.

If the Pack struggles with the Giants, who will be on a short week, at Lambeau net Sunday night it would be a huge surprise.

I'm beginning to wonder how long the league is going to allow the constant mugging of WR's & holding by their O-Line without throwing a flag.

National Fixed League is in full swing.

If by a problem you mean the team to beat in the division it's hard to argue with that. Offense is more than good enough with that stifling defense and right now I'm giving Zimmer the edge over MM.

They might have the best D in the league and a surprisingly effective offense. Funny how the Packers' panic inducing showing in W2 was the best anyone has played this team through 4 weeks.

That is relevant insight.  Thank you.

The Pack didn't even have their **** together, we split, let the cards fall where they may after.

Well by the superlatives being thrown around by the BSPN crew, the rest of the League should just concede the Lombardi trophy to the Vikings now.

Good game but Jeeze.

F**king gruden was a c*nt.  Sure, just wear the new queens defense t-shirt in pregame as you slobber on it.

What's his ratio for guys he loves and plays that are amazing to otherwise?

1,000,000,000,000:2?

Blathering idot.

MM3 knows how to make the playoffs and win in them.

Zimmer?

TBD.  I'll put my  on MM3 over zim.

Any day.  All day.

Where's Odell?

You can pencil him in for 150 yds and a TD next week.

Diggs with his 2nd quiet game in a row tonight and Marvin Jones was held in check yesterday

And the Packer's coaches spent the week on individual self-scout.

We know the kids can play DB and we get Clay and Burnett back for the D.

MM3 does NOT lose games after a bye.  This offense will be ready.  I don't see anything about the gnats that scares me.

Our Defense will be ready.

You watch.  Mark my words.

Zimmer has a great defensive mind & has the players right now. Injuries they've had have been bearable. Bradford for Teddy was "addition by subtraction", they are better as a result. AP is not a good fit for Norv's offense, he runs much better out of the "I", so that injury has not hurt. Kahlil was awful vs. us, Clemmons is better, again addition by subtraction. Getting Rhodes back was big for them, Waynes' was their worst cover guy. They can not afford to have 1-2 of their LBers or Joseph go down with injury, those are the guys that make the defense so good. They are extremely well coached, the offsides on 4th down was one of the few mental mistakes you will see them make. The only question I have is if they can continue to maintain the turn over differential pace they are at. Right now they are +10, which is 4 better than anyone else & 10 better than us! All of their wins have really come down to that stat. and them not giving up big pass plays....can they really continue that pace?  I think the NFL record is +43 & Vikes are on pace for +40.

Seriously, there's no reason a DVR should be programmed like a VCR in this day and age.

Replay TV did just that. It is also a major reason it is no longer around. The TV networks sued Replay TV. TV no like commercial skipping.

Well, every game except one. The one played in February every year.

It's not as if they have a new stadium.

The Viking O line seems to be jelling, but we know how fragile Bradford can be. So they're one big hit away from QB Plan C.

I'm having a hard time defining their offense, but I am jealous of the TE involvement and success with short to medium passes. Reminds me of the 90s Packers. Efficient - take what the defense will give you, march down the field. MM and AR should try it sometime.

That said, the Giants did self-destruct, especially on the muffed punt early. That really set the game in the wrong direction. Plus, Beckham appears to be a head case and Manning appears to be sick of him.

Completely agree. That giant new toolshed and the fake Icelandic Soccer Team clap is just ripe for a gut-wrenching letdown.

There may be a method to his madness, though. One of the Vikings coaches had to grab and bench Rhoades last night to keep him from getting ejected after an OoB sideline hit on Beckham.

How will a guy with the rumored proclivities of a Micah Hyde react?

Note that the Packers have been the only team they've faced with a decent offensive line. Carolina, Seattle, the Jets, etc. are all showing once again you had better invest well in your offensive line and not trot out dregs at LT.

Offensively, the Queens had their best success running at the DEs and exploiting the middle passing.

The Vikings are well coached and don't make mistakes, but they'll have to eventually get something from their offense as I don't think they can keep depending on special teams and defensive touchdowns to win games. In 4 games, they've scored 6 offensive touchdowns and kicked 8 FGs. Even on their scoring drives the margin for error has been small since the drives all tend to be long and require multiple 3rd (or 4th) down conversions. They are also averaging 6 punts per game. There is only one guy on offense that really scares you and that is Diggs. The Packers probably played them how they need to be played until the last drive. Don't give up easy points and win the game in the 4th. Unfortunately, Rodgers threw an awful interception to end it (one of the few times you can truly say that Rodgers "lost" it for GB - contrasted to Favre where that would happen 2-3 times per year).

I think the Vikings end up winning the NFC North and then get beat in a low scoring game in the playoffs.

Week 1: (vs. Titans) Offensive drives producing points (4 FGs, 0 TDs)

4 plays, 2 yards (FG)

11 plays, 58 yards (FG)

10 plays, 42 yards (FG)

7 plays, 45 yards (FG)

Week 2: vs. Packers (2 TDs,  1 FG)

10 plays, 54 yards (TD)

8 plays, 59 yards (FG)

6 plays, 87 yards (FG) - Diggs had catches of 46 and 25 yards

Week 3 vs. Panthers (1 TD, 2 FGs)

10 plays, 79 yards (TD)

7 plays, 33 yards (FG)

11 plays, 49 yards (FG)

Week 4 vs. Giants (3 TDs, 1 FG)

6 plays, 41 yards (TD)

9 plays, 65 yard (TD)

11 plays, 43 yards (FG)

8 plays, 76 yards (TD)

Bradford is relatively new to the system and it's entirely possible that the Queen offense will improve as the season progresses. Packer D  isn't that far away if they can stop dropping picks and patch the leaky pass defense (currently 29th in yards allowed).

It seems like we've been saying this for 5 years.

It's Game 4... the Vikings defense was good last year. It's the same this year.

Eventually things come back down to earth. Their defense will suffer the attrition  that all defenses will suffer.

And when that happens, they'll struggle. The Packers will have their shot...

Now that the pre-season is over, and once again the Vikes are the pre-season champs, we can get to real football.

What I saw last night is that Manning may have lost his deep ball. I expect GB to put up over 30 and hold the Giants to about 20.

The week 2 game came down to turnovers and DBs falling down. Those are not trends you can count on. Even Capers knows turnovers come in bunches.

The Giants looked horrible last night, and yet I have no doubt in my mind that the Pack will make them look significantly better.

I think back to that Chargers game last year where the Chargers played a Monday Night game and looked like the worst team in football.  They traveled to GB, and for basically 59 minutes+ made the Packers defense look pretty sorry.  Fortunately the game is 60 minutes and Damarius Randall made the play the Pack needed to end the game.

I want to believe this year's defense is better than last year's, but considering how they've given up huge games to Stefon Diggs and Marvin Jones, it's hard to believe they'll be able to shut down OBJ and the other Giants' receivers.
