heard on the radio vegas stadium won't be complete for another 3 seasons.  should be real good times in oakland.  they're damn lucky Reggie built a winning football team otherwise that place would be empty (at least I'd like to think).

Stadium will probably be like Rams were in St. Louis at the end. Had like 20,000 in there on Sundays.

I have to admit, the idea of a 4 day weekend to attend a Packers game in say early December when the weather becomes sucky would be rather appealing.

Fly out Thursday night, enjoy Vegas, attend an afternoon Sunday game and  come back to Sconnie on a red eye late Sunday night.

I'm sure Rog, the league, and Vegas didn't plan for scenarios like the above when they envisioned a team move though...

I'm hoping for a gambling scandal involving Raiders players that does massive damage to the NFL. Probably won't have to wait long.

Fortunately. Casinos in Las Vegas have enough moral integrity that will dissuade them from targeting and luring 22 year olds with millions in disposable income from frequenting their establishments. I mean. Free hotel suites, tickets, VIP club suites, private cars could be tempting to the youngsters  

There is a reason the largest corporations in Las Vegas are gaming, hospitality, National security and health care. Actually, health care is pretty much one of the largest businesses in every major city. So strike that. More to the point there is a reason major corporations outside gaming, hospitality, and security don't open corporate headquarters in Las Vegas. It won't end well. 

Having said all this. I'd love to see Johnny Manziel get a backup gig for the Raiders. That would be legendary.

Believe 2023 is when the Pack would be back out there given the current rotation. That should be right around when Rodgers starts angling for a trade to Minnesota.

2023 is probably right around the time the NFL awards the Super Bowl to Vegas and the new digs. And the week leading up to the game will be a special kind of special.

I think they will be OK. Charlotte and ATL have more skrip clubs per capita than Vegas, and nothing ever happens there.

That Oakland decided against ponying up the $750 million in public funding Vegas put on the table is an immensely wise move. 

It's kind of becoming a thing for countries to tell the IOC to go have intimate relations with themselves when they reach out to solicit Olympic bids. 

That day is coming for the NFL. And right soon.

I've been to Vegas once.  I have a Ph.D in bad decisions.  Vegas is the MIT of bad decisions.

I personally don't care if Oakland moves to Vegas, I just think it'll be entertaining.  Like transvestite hooker with Hello Kitty stuck in the ass kind of entertaining.

Nope, nuthin'. 

Broncos fans are pretty excited about this.  It's an easy flight from Denver and they'll be there every year.  I have a friend that's a Raiders fan who lives in the Bay area and even he's excited.  This is just a great idea, all around.  Can't wait to see the Packers play there some day.

Mrs. Blair Kiel and I are retiring 90 minutes away from Vegas in......St. George Utah. You actually drive through Northern Arizona to get to St. George from Vegas. Just think about it,  Mormon wholesomeness lifestyle only minutes away from meeting up with Henry for debauchery on the Strip.

Vegas owns Mount Rushmore of bad decisions. I've been to Vegas a dozen times. It's worse than bourbon street. Far worse. You get filthy drunk on bourbon street. You can lose your savings account in Vegas. I actually watched it happen at the MGM over the course of six hours. 

Someone on the Raiders will gamble more than they should. That will become a problem. That will lead to more gambling. That will lead to debt. That will lead to growing debt. That will lead to a debt that someone wants recovered. It's bad if it's a team exec. It's worse if it's a player. It's probably going to be a player. Imagine if that player is cut?

Been to Vegas once (en route to St. George)

Found it sad, desperate, smelly (cigarette smoke, urine) and the furry characters trolling the strip for photos were beyond pathetic.

Broken beer bottles in the elevator, strippers with vacant looks (who looked about 17 -years-old) dancing on the bar tops in every hotel casino. Guys handing out escort cards on every corner.

Stay classy Vegas.

Fortunately,  Raiders fans will bring some class to the city. 

I guess I'm one of the few people who have never been to Vegas. I don't gamble and it just never appealed to me for some reason. I know when my parents and a bunch of their friends would head out there every January back in the 70's they went to a lot of good shows and just gambled very conservatively.

I'm more of a head to the Caribbean or go fishing somewhere for a week kind of guy when I'm ready to take a vacation.

Just heard Javon Walker is coming out of retirement.

The Raider dream in Vegas will end down on Fremont Street between the Golden Nugget and the Greyhound station. That's where every Vegas dream ends. Its a natural drainage basin. 

$2 billion for a stadium. $750 million in public money. 

Is the NFL going to exist 25 years from now? Is anyone asking the shield to cover these spends if the league folds?

My strip or the strip? Details matter. 

Was just in Vegas a couple weeks ago.  If I were to live there, I would probably die homeless and broken as sportsbooks would be the death of me (I love gambling on sports and am quite poor at it).  I did the smart thing and in the 5 days I was in the Vegas area I only went to the strip once.  Went to Red Rock canyon one day, took a side trip to a national park in Utah and even got to hang out in Blair Kiel's city of retirement for a brief few minutes as we tried to figure out where the hell we were going.

I lead a purer lifestyle, which is why I will be starting my new business venture there called "The Monastery", which will feature Vegas Monks doing a Gregorian chant and magic act.  Rumors that it will also house an opium den and brothel are unfounded. Really.
