I agree that Lacy will be fine, but for the time being if he's missing his mojo, give Starks a few carries!
You can see Lacy still has it when he puts his head down and drives forward this year but he's definitely picking his spots. I guess you have to walk that fine line between running angry and running smart.

"In short, pigeons succeed because....the Monty Hall Dilemma."
Yes! Hallelujah! I have been trying to find that article for a long time. I couldn't remember what it was called. The Monty Hall Dilemma. thanks, Satori. It's a good analogy of a lot of things.
The mourning pigeons round these parts drive the dogs crazy.
just curious...but...who died and why are the pigeons grieving? I wonder if they go through Elizabeth Kuler-Ross' 6 Stages like fans do after a Packer loss?

Looking of something to pass the time after your kiddie porn stash was raided Herbert?
Keep Linsley at C and put Tretter at T. He has to be at least as good as Sherrod at swing tackle, I'd assume. Besides, there's no guarantee Bulaga's coming back next year. Maybe the Ivy League guy could be the replacement.
Tretter isn't a very big guy. Putting him out at tackle I'd be afraid he'd get bull rushed all the way to Kaukauna.
Tretter is 6'4" 307 lbs and played tight end in his first two seasons at Cornell, but moved to tackle, and helped the teamâs offensive immensely. He started each of his final 20 games at left tackle.
Thompson drafts OTs, except for Linsley.
Too bad Tretter is destined to fail like every other Ivy League O-lineman.

Matt Birk?
That's the joke.
More on Eddie Lacy's stats this season:
http://espn.go.com/blog/green-...s-slowing-eddie-lacy
"The uncomplicated explanation is that Eddie Lacy isn't running the ball well because the Green Bay Packers have operated out of the shotgun so often so far this season."
But that may or may not be the case. Alert the pigeons
The aristocrats!
From the article:
"Last year, 34.2 percent of his attempts came on shotgun plays. This year, it's 35.8 percent."
Oh, coo.
And of course ESPN leaves out the part about the percentages only balancing out because Rodgers went down and we stopped going no huddle/shotgun as much, which is when he earned most of his yards.
(As per current JSO article which I still haven't figured out how to link in the "new" forum.)
Grave Digger called that like 3 weeks ago.
It's not as a simple as runs from the shotgun versus when AR is under center, though there is an edge from the shotgon. It is more where the runs go. Regardless of shotgun or under center Lacy's success is coming up the middle behind Lang-Linsley-Sitton.
25 yards running left on 18 carries - 1.4 avg
22 yards running right on 12 carries - 1.8 avg
108 yards in the middle on 23 carries - 4.7 avg
-- Shotgun, 79 yards on 15 carries for 5.3 avg
-- Under center, 29 yards on 8 carries for 3.6 avg
Yeah, I don't get sending him outside the tackles. Maybe Starks can do a little damage out there but really all of our RB's need to be running between the tackles.
@Hungry5,thanks for those numbers
You didn't say the magic word.
Can we lock this ****ing thread now?
Wrong. I'll give you a hint.
Can we lock this ****ing thread now?
Lock it? It caused the turnaround, right?
Prove otherwise. Yeah see, it's a freaking sports forum for fanatics.
According to Spock, none of this **** is relevant, and none of us are qualified to be interested. DISAGREE.
So lock it, right. Lock them all. Starting with you.
Lacy quotes to the on-field reporter on his way off the field:
"First few games, I thought too much, sat on my heels too much..." Then words to the effect of, "Tonight I just did better at picking my lanes right off the bat..."
Pigeons, all of us. It's all ball bearings.

"In short, pigeons succeed because they donât over-think the problem. Itâs telling that among humans, itâs the youngest students who do best at this puzzle. Eighth graders are actually more likely to work out the benefits of switching than older and supposedly wiser university students. Education, it seems, actually worsens our performance at the Monty Hall Dilemma."
This was actually about Lacy overthinking, right?
I honestly thought that when you posted it.
You should just delete your subsequent posts and take credit for the first one. None of us bird-brains will remember.
Please, please, please, pretty please don't have a shortened career due to concussions, Mr Lacy.
At least more concussions would correct any of Lacy's tendency to overthink.
You think maybe Robert Blanton saw a big number 27 steamrolling him in his sleep last night?
Look at the ass-kicking doled out:
He should switch numbers with Cobb. Eddie eighteen-wheeler.
27 - 2 7 tons?
Those videos!
Lacy was bringing the wood last night. He steamrolled another DB on a long run before the above play took place. There was another play that Simms was gushing about, talking about his pad level and how he was lowering his shoulder for the collision.
Plenty of other plays too where he would go OOB dragging 2-3 guys, and they never got him down.
Don Hutson.
Jimmy Taylor.
John Brockington.
James Lofton.
Sterling Sharpe.
Ahman Green.
None of them, and no other Packer, has done this.
@RLiuNFL: Eddie Lacy (@Lil_Eazy_Ana_42) is 1st @Packers w/ 100+ scrimmage yards in 6 consecutive games in a season.
MM is getting creative with Eddie in the pass game. He's becoming more versatile.
