Brock Wilken, 3B, Wake Forest: Wilken had a phenomenal season overall, homering 31 times and cutting his strikeout rate from 24.2% to 16.7%. Some evaluators who spoke to CBS Sports still expressed reservations about his performance within conference play -- a proxy for how players in the power conferences fared against pro-caliber competition.

More on Wilken:
After setting a freshman record at the school with 17 homers in 2021, the right-handed slugger upped that total to 23 as a sophomore. This season, he took his home run-hitting prowess to a whole new level. Wilken hit a whopping 31 home runs for the Demon Deacons -- the No. 1 national seed in the NCAA baseball tournament -- to smash the schoolβs single season record. His 71 career homers also set a new program mark and tied the ACC career record.
Wilken was among the best hitters in the country this season, ranking second in Division I in homers, third in walks (69), fifth in OPS (1.313), sixth in slugging percentage (.807) and 10th in RBIs (82). Three of his homers came in the same NCAA Regional game against Alabama as Wilken helped lead Wake Forest to the Menβs College World Series.

@2nd round pick, Mike Boeve 3rd baseman of Nebraska-Omaha. He is not expected to stay at 3rd, more likely move to 2nd base. Great contact hitter but with little power.

6th-rder Cooper Pratt signs w/@Brewers for $1.35 million (pick 182 value = $309,900). One of my favorite players & biggest steals of the @MLBDraft. Reminds some scouts of a righty-hitting Gunnar Henderson at same stage of their careers. Mississippi recruit. pic.twitter.com/oPNrXo0gQd
