He got 12 1st place votes and 12 2nd place which got him the win. Zach Wheeler finished 2nd. He also had 12 1st place votes but only 9 2nd place.

No reason with some hitting tweaks this team can’t be in the Series next year.
In 2018 he looked like he could be great when he pitched in middle relief. But looked totally lost in 2019. Home runs were his downfall. Here's hoping next season is as exciting as the last one was.

Likely comes down to whether Yelich and Hiura become anywhere near where they were in 2019.
I’m trying to recall back a few years ago 2019 timeframe. Weren’t the Brewers rumored to be in the running to trade for Wheeler when he was with the the Mets? I think one guy mentioned was Hiura. Holy shit if true.
Of course, Wheeler to Milwaukee originally flared up like 2015 I think. Melvin was GM.
Totally ironic that Burnes was an afterthought 2 years ago. He did well in late 2018 and playoffs but looked Hiura like in 2019. Cy Young. Wow
