In starts missed.

1. Green Bay Packers

When Jordy Nelson blew out his knee in the preseason, it was almost a guarantee that the Packers' offense would have to change. Without his best deep-threat receiver, quarterback Aaron Rodgers has not thrown the ball downfield as much. In his first seven years as a starter, Rodgers averaged 2.1 pass attempts per game that traveled 30 or more yards in the air, according to ESPN Stats & Information. This season, he has averaged just one per game and has had two games where he didn't attempt any. It's not just Nelson, either. The Packers have played half of their games without Davante Adams, who was expected to replace Nelson as that deep threat. -- Rob Demovsky
Players out for season: WR Jordy Nelson (knee), LB Sam Barrington (foot), DE Josh Boyd (ankle), S Sean Richardson (neck)
Players injured: TE Andrew Quarless (knee), S Morgan Burnett (calf), WR Davante Adams (ankle), OT Bryan Bulaga (knee), OLB Nick Perry (shoulder/hand), NT B.J. Raji (groin)
Total starts missed: 78 -- Nelson (16), Barrington (15), Boyd (14), Richardson (13), Quarless (7), Burnett (5), Adams (3), Bulaga (3), Perry (1), Raji (1)

Ranking the most banged up teams in the NFL

And yet, we 6-0.

Team decimated by injuries is 6-0. Healthiest team should be 1-5.

I dont deny Schneider has done a fine job drafting talented players. I think he's done a questionable job at best with contracts. I'm fuzzy on who in Seattle actually has final say on the 53. But that's become a flawed roster. Jimmy Graham was a bad move for no other reason than it turned a questionable OL into a sieve of an OL.  They totally misplayed the Dan Quinn backup plan.

If Seattle loses in SF tomorrow night things are going to get ugly.

Dan Patrick said Monday on his radio show that he was told Carroll “would listen to go back to USC,” and added that Carroll’s name has been thrown around in other candidate lists.

When asked about those rumors Monday, including Patrick’s, Carroll shot back, “I would say this: I love USC. It’s a great place. Flattered. I appreciate it, Dan. But that’s not happening. We’re in good shape here.”

Pete's a little confused about what good shape means.  Steep climb!

It's a lot to easier to draft when your at the top of rounds year after year (his early years). The same thing happened with the Whiners. And it's also easier to keep players happy when your SB QB wasn't making jack schit either.

Now he's picking in the low rounds for the last few years AND he's got a 20M salary to pay Russell Wilson. This is where you earn your money. And so far the Graham trade is just looking like a bad move. Period.

RW is on a record pace for sacks. He's one QB hit away from really getting hurt. And that OL is a joke. Indeed if they lose tomorrow, wheels may come flying off.

Maybe they were just holding it for a friend ?

Doesn't that seem like something Packer People would do to help a brotha out ?

So am I, but not about if we will win.  The game will be played in Carolina.  The Packers has lost 2 guys to neck injuries in Carolina during MM's time in GB so far.  Those players are WR T. Murphy and S Nick Collins.  Both were taken in the 2nd round of the 2005 draft.  Thanks heavens we didn't take anymore during that round.   Just concerned about adding anymore to the number of games missed.

Actually Mike Sherman was the coach when Terrence Murphy got hurt.  Bad hit on a kickoff.  I think it was Thomas Davis leading with his head and then celebrating the hit afterwards.

I think he did, but they didn't discover it until he injured his neck...similarly to how they discovered Nick Collins issue.

Carolina doesn't scare me any more than Seattle earlier this  year. Cam is taking better care of the football and isn't getting hit as often...combine that with their strong defense and that's why they're winning.. Start hitting him and he stops taking care of the ball and they start losing.
