Gotta get the quota of quick hitters to Kuhn in I guess.

But seriously, Finley, even if he isn't catching the ball, is commanding attention leaving the other guys open. He is the best pass catching TE in the league, IMO, and should be a priority to resign. TT seems to be able to find WRs like Jones fairly easily and that is why I'm surprised he just didn't let Jones walk. Guys like Finley are not easy to find.

I think this is a little unfair.

I wouldn't describe Finley as inconsistent. He had a bad game and a couple of drops. But he has been pretty solid if not spectacular overall. He runs and makes catches that make you forget how big he really is.
He's also been the focus of defenses a lot, especially with these Tampa 2 teams that are vulnerable to TEs. I think Rodgers loves getting the ball to Finley, he was the focus of the offense before his injury last year, but defenses now know what he can do and they're working to take him away. He's a basically a massive WR that can out jump anyone and usually catches everything thrown his way. Now, Finley probably needs to work a little harder to get open because that's what separates good TEs from great TEs, but I don't think his lack of production is the result of effort on his part. He's playing for a contract, I bet he's hustling like crazy.

Best play I saw Sunday, and it wasn't close: Green Bay tight end Andrew Quarless came in motion from the left of a trips-left formation (three receivers to the left), and when the ball was snapped, obliterated Jared Allen on a block, leveling him. The play broke down, Quarless ran out and put his right hand up; Aaron Rodgers rolled right and found him. Gain of 21. Go find this play if you've got NFL Game Rewind -- second quarter, 11:43 to play. You'll love Quarless' energy.

Yes, saw that and loved it. After that Allen had to be aware of the TE even if they were lined up outside. Then the LT sat on Allen and didn't let him up.
