Please read :-)
This all started when meatmarket and I got into a youtube message fight. He told me "keep in mind I am a X4 moderator", I had no idea what he was talking about. Then he said "you know, that forum you post on?" Now I was really confused. I did a little looking around, found this, and realized that there was another badmoonrison out there. Oops, so much for a unique screen name.
Well, yes I am the guy that freaked out on YouTube over Justin Harrell (http://youtube.com/watch?v=ekPumyJjdX4). I am a freshman at Saint Mary's University of MN, and this video was recorded back in my senior year of high school. I get a lot of crap for this video, and I'd just like to clear a few things up.
It started in 2006, when my friend saw how much my other friend and I got excited over the AJ Hawk pick. We celebrated pretty hard. So he decided he would videotape us the next year and record our reaction.
The guy that reaches towards the TV at the very beginning of the video is raising the volume. You can hear it. He is NOT pressing a "play" button on a VCR/TiVo device, this was not a premeditated response. The rest of our YouTube videos are fake, with scripts and storyboards.
I was expecting the Packers to either pick Greg Olson or Leon Hall. DT was the last thing I was expecting. I was very angered, to say the least, to hear it was Justin Harrell... I had never heard of him. It felt like the Ahmad Carroll pick all over again. I felt we were sufficient at DT with Ryan Pickett, Johnny Jolly, Corey Williams, Colin Cole, etc... and I still feel that we are.
I freaked out and destroyed things mostly to act for the camera. I had no idea that it would be on YouTube. My buddy put it on as a joke, and we had NO IDEA it would reach the views that it did. I was very embarrassed when he put it up, as basically everyone I know saw it, including teachers and relatives. I tried to get it removed but he wouldn't do it.
KEEP IN MIND... I am NOT the guy that made the Nazi-ass Jew comment. I would NEVER say that and I wanted that bleeped out of the original cut, but my friend thought it was funny and kept it in. That is actually where most of the controversy over this video stems from.
I started to like the video once it started to really pick up view counts. Around 20,000 views, we were informed that someone actually called us in to KFAN, a Twin Cities radio station. We are also on countless blogs and forums, being called spoiled preppy suburban brats. I personally send each of them a message, mostly trash-talking them back. I can't stand people who don't know me trying to make comments about my lifestyle or activites.
1. That is not my basement, it's the cameraman's.
2. My family is lower-middle class, my mom is an elementary school teacher and my Dad works at a university.
I can only laugh at the comments being posted under our video. Most of them are either along the lines of "OMG I did the exact same thing!!" or "see what happens when you give spoiled Packer brats a camera?? Way to act mature". Some people like MeatMarket even go as far as to try to "expose" me. Then he tried to pull the old "watch your tongue, I'm an X4 moderator". Buddy, that's not a very cool way to represent your forum. LOL @ your attempts to roast me on my own video.
So, hopefully you can understand a little more my motivation behind the video. Yes, my actions were immature, I realize that (do most people just skip the second half of the video?). But I am a Packer fan for life and I am just looking out for the best interest of the team. I am very happy with the output we have gotten from James Jones, Greg Jennings, AJ Hawk, and many other picks from the TT era.
I just still really, really disagree with the Harrell pick. It's PAINFULLY obvious we need a third corner (Leon Hall?) and Jarrett Bush is REALLY not cutting it.
And by the way - Someone commented on my video that I was an idiot and Justin Harrell was going to lead the NFC in sacks this year and be named DROY... if you are reading this... log off for a while, son.
