It's all just draft position from here out

Brewers clinch second last place in the division.
Went to the game on Thursday afternoon at Petco. The final road game of the year. A bunch of us Brewers fans were there behind the Brewers dugout clapping for them as they trotted back into the dugout each inning. Even though the Crew lost the series finale and it felt more like watching a spring training game overall, it was good to be there to support them.
There's some reason to be optimistic going forward. The pitching staff has the potential to be as deep as it's been in a while with a lot of good young arms several years away from free agency: Zach Davies (22 years old), Jorge Lopez (22), Ariel Pena (26), Wily Peralta (26), Tyler Jungmann (25), Will Smith (25), Jeremy Jeffress (27), Jimmy Nelson (26), Corey Knebel (23), Tyler Thornburg (26), Tyler Wagner (24), Yhonthan Barrios (23).
I don't see how they can waste innings next years on Matt Garza - especially with his attitude at the end of this year. They need to take care of that situation and let these guys play.
They need to develop as a pitching and defense team. Orlando Acia sounds like a future gold glove guy at SS.
no
This team even when it considers itself a serious contender wouldn't be able to sign a free agent like Grienke. If you need any proof, see CC Sabathia.
That's not proof. That's a data point.
Use Garza next year, hope he builds up his value so he can be traded.
I take any reasonable offer for Braun, but I think he is a Brewer next year. Wouldn't mind him spending some time at first, but that move is probably a year away. Maybe the new GM has some Vernon Well magic, but I doubt it.
I take any reasonable offer for Lind. Again, I don't see this move happening until midseason next year.
I take any reasonable offer for Sequra, Problem is a reasonable offer is probably not to much.
I would be open to moving Khris Davis, but not for the reason I keep hearing. Some smart GM out there is going to see that Khris is probably going to carry an OPS over .800 for awhile, SLGing over .500. I don't see why Brewer fans don't appreciate Kris Davis, but this kid is young, cost controlled (just not as controlled as the younger guys) and produces. Price is high.
Luc? Personal fan bias here but I want Luc a Brewer forever. He is a master behind the plate, and even with his stick failing somewhat this year, he brings significant plus value to the position. I also think Luc behind the plate might be the best thing we can do as we develop young pitching. Anyone who watched Maldy catch every day has to see he is not the heir apparent. Problem, Luc is getting older and I don't want to drop that kind of contract at this point. If he is banged up, he's not helping the team. Price is very high, but I think Luc starts out next year as a Brewer.
Free agency? Shut the **** up. Do not participate in that mess.

A's win or Brewer loss and it is the 5th pick.
Brewers losing 3-0, Oakland-Seattle 0-0, both bottom of 2nd.
Just about all the games finishing around the same time today.
Well, this miserable season is over and done with. I am glad though that I was able to listen to as many games as I did, despite their record.
It will be really interesting to see how the new GM takes over and re-builds. My guess is that there will be quite a few familiar faces playing in different places next season.
While Doug Melvin did some good things for the Brewers, I am glad he is moving on into an advisory role.
Looking forward to tomorrow and 2016.
I hope the Brewers can find a way to move Garza.
I also regret not having watched some of the games down the stretch with the Brewers young pitchers starting.
I like what little I've seen, but have no real idea what to expect from the late callups going forward.
