He's the senior on this team. Literally. Yeah, I know Bohannon is the other, but he doesn't play.

I have always liked his "moxie". There's always been a certain toughness about him, a fearlessness, that I liked. And despite being a smaller 2G, he's not afraid to get in the paint. That toughness, again.

So to see him leading this very talented group of underclassmen makes me smile. Maybe it's the Wisconsinite me that always loves the little guy, the underdog. Ben Brust seemingly embodies that... and with the talent around him, it's fun to watch.

I'm not sure if he'll be able to keep up his 3pt shooting (he's hitting at a 45% clip) but there's no question he's made a nice leap this year in terms of his development as a player.

The starting lineup (overall) is shooting over 40% from 3pt range and ironically Dekker is shooting the worst at around 39% but I am not worried at all because that guy can shoot.

If the Badgers can get consistent 3pt shooting they are going to be a really tough team to beat because of how they scheme and play D.   I think Ohio State will give them everything they can handle and MSU is always tough but there's no reason why this team can't win the Big Ten this year and make a deep tournament run.   They have good guard play, a pretty good bench, and Ryan seems to be able to get the most out of these guys.

It's Bo Ryan's team that has benefitted the most from the new emphasis on allowing offensive players to move freely. It makes you wonder- all of a sudden they're scoring like a regular team. Cutters actually have a chance to get the ball, post ups aren't just for show. Their offensive effectiveness suddenly explodes when they emphasize calling grabbing? I don't think there's a coincidence...
