let's hope the "they play well on the road" business is still rolling. wouldn't be the end of the world to go 3-1 but I'm hoping for 4-0 at this point. I don't fear Houston. they're good but they're not anything we haven't seen already. St Louis could be the perfect "looking past them" game. gotta stick to one game at at time and give everybody a punch in the mouth.
Anything but 3-1 is not acceptable at this point. When the schedule came out I thought @Houston could be a loss, I haven’t changed my view. I think we need to be 5-3 at the halfway mark and personally believe we must win the division to get into the playoffs this year. Nothing has been easy and now we get a Colts team playing for their coach who is in the hospital.
I'll take 3-1. 100% of the attention needs to be on Indy. GB can't afford a bad loss thanks to the Seattle debacle. Indy, Jax, or STL would qualify. It sucks but that's the way it is.

A bit off topic but 2012 has the feeling of 2010 right now. Coming off a crushing playoff loss the team has scuffled a bit out of the gate. Clearly not hitting on all cylinders trying to find an identity.

Improve a little more each week and get to the bye 6-3.
Houston is really going to be tough. Hopefully the Pack handles that cut blocking scheme better than the '97 Pack did vs. the Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII. Essentially, the '12 Texans are the new incarnation of the late '90s Broncos with Arian Foster playing the Terrell Davis/Olandis Gary/Mike Anderson role. They probably don't run the ball quite as well as those Broncos teams, but Foster is a better receiver out of the backfield than Davis ever was.

I'll be honest, if the Pack doesn't win it all this year, I wouldn't mind seeing Houston do it. Matt Schaub is the key, he tends to either not stay healthy or at times underachieves just when you think he's got it all figured out.
the Pack will have 5 of their first 6 games be "national" games. It's been either the national late game on Sunday, MNF, TNF, and the Houston game will be a SNF. I know as a viewer I'm more hyped up for these big games, I'm wondering if the players feel differently about these game compared to a Nooner on Sunday. Maybe the with the Indy game they will be more relaxed, hopefully still focused, but relaxed and do some damage.

JJ Watt is a terrible fit for a 3-4 defense.

There is no choice. Anyone trying to harm the interests of the GBP is not getting any love from me.

How about you and your love of duh SEC? It's a good thing GB doesn't play the Jets, or you'd probably be crying with your Tebow doll in the corner.

I think part of it is living up to the incredibly high standards they set last year. It's only natural for guys to want to exceed what they did the year before and set lofty goals for the offense.

I also think getting adjusted to the new booth set up without Philbin may be a factor. There's no way to practice for the fog of the game until you actually do it. I'd expect any wrinkles they have with those procedures will get smoothed out as the season moves along. I also like your point about the dome games coming up. Should be to our favor.
Really looking forward to the Houston game. Could be in position to hand Houston their first loss.

Hope the Packers aren't looking that far ahead. But Rodgers should be licking his chops for the Indy game. Only difficulty I see is Indy's d line, which has been pretty good at rushing the passer.

And don't forget, Indy is the only team to have beaten the division leading Minnesota Vikings.

Yeah right. As soon as the 34 pretENDer gets a sack I'm sure you're going to be clutching your Watt Badger jersey with a big smile on your face and joy in your heart knowing JJ is making you proud!
