I was expecting one of 2 things:
1) Trump would denounce the eclipse as "fake news invented by Al Gore"
or
2) Take credit for it as being "a much better eclipse than any other president in history has produced"

If eclipses happened every year, Trump would have blamed Obama for 8 years of bad eclipses, but his eclipse, 9 months in was the best one ever because he makes great deals with the sun and moon. 
Most calendar years have 2 solar eclipses (often partials). Including yesterday, the earth will experience 6 TOTAL Solar Eclipses over a 10 year span.
