Just rewatched the first INT. Why was he so late on that. Wide open right off the line and there was no pressure in his face.  So many flaws Hundley so many flaws

Theme for Hundley. Not seeing the play unfold quick enough. Been that way all season.

Asked if he considered pulling Hundley for Dirty Harry, MM had this to say just now:

”I did not lose confidence in Brett Hundley. Every game has challenges. No excuses. He was challenged. He's played better. There was a lot going on around him”

Yep. As expected.

MM going down with ship. It's "Admirable"

Heaven forbid the Pack actually, you know....TRY & win a game let alone with a new QB that would make MM look like a complete fool if the other guy is successful.

Anyone wonder what's really happening at 1265?

On October 17, 2017, in response to a reporter's question about the possibility of signing a veteran QB in light of Rodgers' injury, McCarthy said the following:

“Did you just listen to the question I just answered? Okay, I got three years invested in Brett Hundley, two years invested in Joe Callahan, the quarterback room is exactly where it needs to be. "

I don't expect any coach, be it MM or Belichick or Doug Marrone to say much different than that.

Coaches do coachspeak, yeah, it'd be nice to hear him say "You know what, in the 4th, I debated it because Hundley was playing like dogshiit, but I figured at that point, the game was over and there wasn't a whole lot to be gained by putting in Callahan", but coaches almost never

1) Throw players under the bus in any explicit fashion. It happens, but rarely

2) Admit that they have/had doubts about any decision they made.

They've been programmed to be this way.

I don't really get worked up about what MM or any coach says in a press conference. It's all meaningless tripe to sound reasoned and in control and give as little real information out as possible.

The actions are what I care about. And is where my frustrations with MM lie. Not firing Capers. Not firing Slocum. Not making a move for a vet QB. Playing Hundley when you can get actual useful info on Callahan...

Things have not been so peachy with the Packers this year.

You have reports of Marty Bennett loafing in practice with no consequence and then the injury and release debacle.  Think about the Randall insubordination clusterfuhck.  Then you have MM losing his mind in press conferences including the 10/17 beauty.  Cobb went off last night in the post game stating they should be embarrassed.

MM used to run a tight ship but this season has been anything but typical regardless of the A Rod injury.  It might be time to cut Mac loose.

This is the $64,000 question isn’t it? We’re all assuming that McCarthy will retire Capers and Thompson will transition to Wolf at some point soon. But maybe something else is going to happen- maybe Thompson cleans house. Maybe it’s apparent that the staff no longer gets the best out of the talent on the field, Offense or Defense.

Personally, I’d like to see Murphy take a lead role. No team with SB aspirations should go 8-8 or 7-9. The expectations are too high to accept this. There is plenty of similar situations where the coach had success but when it became apparent the message wasn’t getting through, it was time.

Now I know Rodgers and McCarthy are seemingly friends, but it cannot have a bearing on this deal. We’ve seen that movie before...

Wouldn't be a shock or surprise in the least. You fire him or give him an extension. There's no in between of "let him coach on the last year of a deal".

This isn't an opinion on keeping him or firing him, simply the realities of coaching in pro sports.

Watch heads explode here when MM gets a 3 year contract extension in January.

Nope. Only way heads explode is if Dom is kept around too.

The Pack needs a new defensive philosophy.

I don’t mind if he gets an extension if he retires Dom and replaces Hundley with a journeyman backup QB who’s actually shown that he can play.

Agree. Give us all a present, Dom, and retire.
