Jermichael Finely will come up huge against the Giant's defense. I know many Packer fans are down on Finley, but the guy has STUD/BEAST written all over him and he is only 24 years old. Remember the Arizona playoff game?--Third most yards EVER by a TE in the playoffs.

I think McCarthy has saved plays for Finley to use in the post season. Finley hasn't gone deep, over the middle very much this year, so look for Finley running some post routes on Sunday. The only thing that worries me is A-rod may have lost a little confidence in JF. However, Rodgers has a history of going back to guys who have dropped the ball: Nelson in the Super Bowl, Jones last year.

Remember Mike Holmgren and Keith Jackson? I do. Jackson never went deep all year in '96, despite scoring 10 tds. Most tds came in the red zone. Yet, Jackson had 2-3 HUGE catches in the playoffs on deep routes to set up touchdowns. I thought Holmgren was brilliant in that regard. Saving plays for the playoffs isn't unusual, but saving great plays that actually work is pretty damn smart.

Fans will be buying Finley jerseys in large numbers after he leads us to another Super Bowl victory.

I'll go with the tackles. If Cliffy and Bulaga can keep the pocket clean, it won't matter if it's Finley, Jordy, Cobb, whoever - AR will carve those DB's up ruthlessly. If not, it's going to be a difficult game to win.
Good call with the Tackles:

In 4 games against Osi Umenyiora #Packers Chad Clifton has not allowed a sack. Osi had two knockdowns in frigid '07 NFC Championship Game.

RT Bryan Bulaga says the kneecap that he sprained 12-18 not a hindrance. He's 1-1 against Justin Tuck. Theirs will be great battle.
I am going o-line. In fact, if I were the o-line coach, I'd have let them know this is their game to control.

I think the lion's share of the sentiment of some that the Giants will win reduces to their defensive line and the idea that they can bring adequate pressure with just 4, enabling 7 to play the pass.

Give-65. Maybe the best call in a playoff game ever.
I'll go off the beaten path, although the LT & RT is a great choice.

The RB's

Grant / Starks and even Saine & Kuhn.

They will make the difference not only with positive yards but blitz pickups too

Football is really easy.

The team that blocks & tackles the best usually wins
I'll go with Kuhn, TE's not named Finley and possibly a little Raji.

Of course, I'm talking inside the 5 for all of the above ...

2nd X-factor = Bush, somehow he saves us a TD, pick 6 on D or downs a kick at the 1-foot line. He's gonna do something.

Go frickin Pack Go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay Alex, I give up! What is give 65?
I think Tramon is a great choice too. He has battled that shoulder injury and it appears it has gotten better with time. He knows his performance has not equaled the standard he set last year and the Giant trio of WR's is no slouch. Having Tramon play at a shutdown level against one of the three will be huge.

Finally, if last year is any indication, he really comes to shine during the playoffs. He's a gamer.

But, really, as we all know, it's a team game and all facets must produce.

I think this is silliness. MM isn't saving plays for anybody... and Capers wasn't playing vanilla defense during the regular season to save something for the playoffs. Regular season games are far too important to go into them half-assed thinking you'll just win anyhow.

I expect the defense to be better tomorrow but it will be because the players executed the defense properly. Finley could very well have a huge day because he's such a mismatch for any defense... but it won't be because anything was "saved" for the post season.
I have been thinking Grant since the end of the season. He seems like he is hitting his stride with Starks out which I don't think he had a chance to do earlier in the season. I think he will have a great game. Might not be huge rushing numbers alone or an 80 yard screen pass for a TD but he is on an upward track and did not get to play last year so he wants to make up for lost time.

You can't be serious.

That wasn't it.

It was a running play that Starr called giving the ball to Chuck Mercein. It was a play where the RG, Gillingham pulled and hoped the DT, Bob Lily would follow him. He did, Mercein plowed through the open hole for 19 yards. Starr knew the play would work, but only once against a smart defender like Lily. He waited all game to use it and finally called it with about a minute left. This was in the Ice Bowl game.

Read Instant Replay, it's all in there.
