Itโ€™s a good move, too. Gasol is a very good defender, can stretch the floor, and distribute. The last time the Bucks faced them the Bucks used Lopez to attack the paint against their undersized bigs. Lopez was 4-5 from 2, all of it in the paint, and had 3 blocks on the other end. This was to let them know heโ€™s not just a stretch 5... heโ€™ll inflict damage inside too.

So for matchup purposes, they can now go after Lopez a little more aggressively, like the Grizzlies did. Lopez only went 4-7 and only 1 three last month, and earlier this season he had 29 points and 6 threes to Lopezโ€™s 6 points on 2-5 from three when the Grizzlies beat the Bucks in Milwaukee in November.

I still donโ€™t think theyโ€™re better, but at least the move makes more sense than standing pat.
