Rodgers, Adams, Jones looked good, as always.  Offensive line was decent, though I am surprised they moved Patrick to LG and slid Turner down to RG, with Wagner at RT.  The way Runyan has played, I would have guessed they would have just plugged him in at LG and left the others in place for consistency.

Special teams are really going to cost this team sometime down the road.  Wherever they dug up Uncle Fester, they have to drop him back there!  Also, this week I would have Opie make at least 50 tackles along the sideline.  He looks like a total candy ass when all he has to do is push the runner out of bounds.  Better yet, send Mennenga and Opie packing.

Always nice to stick it to Schwartz.....

Offensive started slow but can’t complain overall. I would love to see the question about the OLine configuration today as Runyan has looked the part.  Again complain with results but just curious given how well it’s been.

What can say abkut defense and special teams that hasn’t been said.  I will say that even though he missed big a hunch today, first run play by Iggles amd then on punt return super hinges missed tackles but I will say at least he looked to be attacking the contact rather than waiting.  So maybe a plus moving forward.

++ OLine against a quality DLine.

Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, Tonyan, D. Adams, Z & P Smith, Gary, Keke, Savage and Jaire (other than the TD).

-- STs (ANOTHER punt return TD, ANOTHER missed XP), MVS and (to a lesser extent) ESB.

Oline question asked. Sounds like just had a feeling this have them best opportunity to win.  These coaches really have thumb in team at least on offense.

Funny at his intro press conference I must say I was like whoa this guy.  But each week I’ve jist been so impressed with MLF.  Has the right mix of calm creative aggression/conservative that makes me believe he indeed was the right choice.  God help us had it been Patty Fitz.

All about match ups, whose strengths / weaknesses match up better vs. who they are matched up vs. and what plays do they want to run more of & who is better suited to do what is asked on those plays.

When Favre threw his 400th TD pass, he had already thrown 250 interceptions. Rodgers has thrown 88.

@NFLResearch: Davante Adams joined Hall of Famers Randy Moss (2007), Terrell Owens (2007), Marvin Harrison (1999) & Jerry Rice (1986 & 1989) as the only players in the Super Bowl era with 1,000+ rec yds & 12+ rec TD in their first 10 games of a season

Not sure what that second paragraph was about.

IPAs talking?

Haha.  I guess so.  I was trying to say Martin missed big a bunch but he does seem to attack like we’ve desperately need for a long time.  There were two that I remember.  One was the first play of game and the second was on the punt return TD

The special teams were much more of a problem today than the defense.

The defense had one major screw up today, which was giving up the TD on 4th and 18 by going conservative on the pass rush and using a soft zone coverage.  If they stop that play, they would have given up 3 points today and did what they needed to do by taking advantage of a lousy OL to record 7 sacks.

The special teams' problems are the type that show up again in the playoffs and lose games for you. It's interesting that your core special teams guys tend to be your backup LBs and safeties. The same problems that show up in run defense show up there.

Maybe Tavon Austin finally gives them some positive plays on their own returns as their strategy now seems to be to barely try in their own return game.

POS - Defense. Yeah they got a little sloppy late in the game but I'll take 9 points and 278 total yards every week.

Gary, Keke, both Smith's, Lowry, Jaire and Savage all showed up today.

Offense. I missed the mess that was the first drive but for the most part they looked like a well oiled machine. Can't say enough good things about Rodgers and Adams. OL did their job for the most part. Jones was having a fairly quiet game again but had been so close to busting big plays the last few weeks. I think he finally did that today.   Tonyan still moving the chains and finding the EZ. Lazard is getting close to being back to 100%. They still don't seem to be sending him on deep patterns but that will return I'm sure.

NEG - ST's. Just painful to watch in an otherwise enjoyable game. Mennenga has GOT TO GO.

MVS with another drop. I'll give him credit for blocking on Jones TD run but this makes 2 games in a row with a big goose egg. Thought this guy was getting to the point where he could be a #3 WR but your #3 WR can not drop perfectly thrown balls like that. Rodgers literally has to put the ball in a location that forces him to use his hands. I think our only hope for a #3 this year is if ESB starts to click in the last month and gains some confidence. Otherwise this is a 2 WR offense for 2020.

Vikings game going into OT which seemed like a negative but might have been a positive to skip the first 8-9 minutes of the game.

Not sure why they decided to sit Runyon but I hope we go back to him at LG with Turner at RT.

I’m sure the opponent had something to do with it but the interior opened up big holes with Runyon, Jenkins, Patrick inside.    Wasn’t impressed with the run blocking with Patrick, Jenkins, Turner grouping.   I think it’s mostly that Turner is a lot better at RT than guard.

He was close.  Miller Lite.  But you re not too far off when dictating patient charts.  Some days I swear it’s so accurate it’s scarey but then there are days that you just go it would be so much easier to type it myself.

Packers ran the ball just 21 times (not counting Rodgers non-running plays), and totaled 152 yards in those plays. Packers average 4.4 ypc and Rodgers has been sacked 11 times this season. That’s why the offense is so good. That’s why they have a chance to win it all. The defense has warts, but every team has warts. If the line keeps playing at this level, and not what happened in Tampa when Rodgers was under duress all game, they can win any game they play. Rodgers is having one of his best seasons and despite what everyone wants to say about Mahomes being a lock right now, has a real shot at his 3rd MVP. 4 games left, and he can put up pretty scary numbers the rest of the way.

The D gave up 9, that will win you the great majority of games, that's a plus.  And they can be better.

I spent all game pissing and moaning about Pettine, but the defense was actually good today except for the one play.

Aaron Jones got 2 cleanly blocked run. One he muffed the pitch on and the other he took for 77 yards.

Problem is, that's the type of play soft zones are built for. Letting the WR get behind them was inexcusable.

Special teams was especially bad.

Thumbs up:

Aaron Freaking Rodgers.  Damn is he good and it was awesome he got to 400

An NFC win

I was pretty happy with the defense yesterday.  I know the Eagles have struggled some on offense but I did like what I saw.  Especially the circus catch for the INT by Savage.

Offensive line has been incredibly solid this year even with having to start so many different combinations.

Thumbs down:

Like everyone else the special teams.  Crosby missing another EP and Opie with is Ole act.

Yeah, I don't like Turner at RG, either. It's his worst position on the O Line. He caused Linsley to deal with double teams, from other teams D Lines, when he'd help Bulaga block a single guy. Linsley was left to cover the A gaps and the guy right in front of him. Turner is a lot better at either of the T spots.

UP: Our Oline, overall. Individually, Gary, Keke, Lowry, Savage, Jaire, The Smiths, Davante, Lazard, MVS's blocking, especially on the big Jones run, Bakhtiari running step for step with Jones, down the field, on that big run, looking for someone to block, Aaron Jones. AROD 400!

DOWNERS: Special Teams, and that includes the lackluster tackling effort by Opie. Soft Coverage on D opens up the field for Wentz and, mostly, Hurtz. Crosby doinking the PAT, on a day, when that was prevalent in the NFL games I saw.

The biggest positive in terms of player development is Darnell Savage. Three interceptions the last 2 weeks is what they need him to do. A free safety with that much speed seems to be finally adjusting mentally to the speed of the NFL game. It's very reminiscent of Nick Collins who really didn't become the guy who had a chance to be a HOFer until his 4th year (and then made three Pro Bowls in a row before his neck injury).

Elgton Jenkins continues to be outstanding wherever he plays.

Has anyone heard or seen anything about the missed XPs the last two weeks? Did Crosby just mishit them or was there a problem with the hold or snap?

Yep. I think we are so used to the defense bending and breaking that we are conditioned to complain about every play that results in 4 yards or more.

Philly sucks but the defense was solid.

Yes! Turner has had trouble anchoring vs. big DTs like Cox, but with help from the center he did a pretty good job yesterday. I think the  move was really about getting Wagner on the field instead of Runyan .... I think he has been really good. Never heard Graham's name called yesterday.

Thumbs Up
The Packers continue to make history this year.

Thumbs Down
My jaw and chin are so sore from hitting the floor every time I see a replay of that ARod to Adams pass from the EZ.
As soon as I pick it up from seeing the catch, it drops again when I watch the throw.
