Anyone else think of the '72 and '93 comebacks at Detroit after Thursday night?  I remembered how the great John Facenda, when talking about the Lions  game in the 1972 Packers Highlight Film, said something close to this about Ken Ellis' electric punt return for a TD in that game that started the Packers comeback: "In a game all but lost to the rival Lions...Ellis provided the turnabout play of a turnabout season." I still get goosebumps remembering watching that Monday Night Football game on my little black & white TV, age 15, alone, in my bedroom in NJ, and jumping for joy when Scott Hunter hit Leland Glass from about the 15 with a minute or so left to complete the comeback. I wasn't expecting that Thursday night. When the ball came down in the end zone, my son realized what happened before I did and yelled "he caught it!!!" I just couldn't believe it. Still can't! It reminded me of the '72 Lions comeback from 17 down, as well as Favre's incredible heave to Sterling Sharpe to beat the Lions in Detroit in the '93 Wild Card game. After the Seattle 2012 and Giants 2011 Hail Marys against us, it was nice to see us have one to win a game. This though was the most incredible Hail Mary I've ever seen to win a game. I hope it helps add to the team's spirit and momentum, and propels us to a strong finish and into the playoffs!

And now, attaching following for your viewing pleasure (I cannot believe I found the '72 highlight just now on YouTube!!!):

I would have been 3, so ummm, no I don't remember.

But, if I remember correctly, the wildcard game Brent to Sharpe was amazing.

And yes, as I posted elsewhere, it was the first thing I thought of.  Epic!

On a little bit of a side tangent, last Tuesday Dec. 1st was the 30th anniversary of the "Snow Bowl" a 21-0 Packers victory over Tampa Bay in 1985.  The snowstorm was so bad only 19,000 were able to attend at Lambeau even though the game was sold out.  The Pack had over 500 yards of offense and Tampa had around 60.  Complete and utter domination by the Pack under surreal conditions.

The 80s were at times rough for Packers' fans, but games like that one were memorable and one of the highlight games during some lean years.

Edit:  As long as we were discussing some past games, since this one hit its' 30th anniversary this week, I figured I'd throw it into this thread even though it's slightly off topic.
