Ohtani has been on base in every at bat, tonight.
YELICH WITH A GREAT CATCH! 3 DOWN!
Treinan pitching for LA. Monasterio up to lead off the 7th.
Monasterio out on an infield grounder. 1 down. Turang up. Grounds out. 2 down. Chourio up. Strikes out.
Monasterio strikes again. Error on a routine throw to 1st.
Dodgers leave two. Crew coming up in the 8th.
Dodgers will play their closer, Phillips, in the 8th, to face the meat of the Brewers line up in Contreras, Yelich and Adames.
Contreras out on a dropped 3rd strike. YELICH TIES IT UP!! DEEP CF HOMER!!!
Adames flies out to LF. 2 down. Frelick up. 3-1 on Frelick. Flies out to RF. 3 down.
Hudson pitching for the Crew.
Great 3 innings for Wilson and a Yeli-bomb ties it up. Letâs get this one!
Welp
Freaky HR on Yelich at the wall. Looked like Yelich had a shot to catch it,but it went over his glove. 4-3 Dodgers.
Ohtani takes Hudson deep. 5-3 Dodgers. See ya, Hudson.
8th inning not being kind to the Brewers lately.
Zastrysny pitching for the Crew.
Hudson has been a disaster this series.
The Dodgers have 7 home runs in the series. We have 9 hits.
Zastrysny walks Freeman with 2 out. Hernandez pops out.
How does a guy OPSing just over .500 continue to get significant playing time??
Vesia pitching for LA.
Hoskins up. Strikes out. 1 down. Perkins up. Pops up. 2 down. Monasterio up. So much for that.

It's almost like a team with a 320 million dollar payroll and three future first-ballot Hall of Fame everyday players they signed as free agents or traded for to be able to extend is going to beat you more times than not (although Betts is out right now). And Will Smith makes 16.5 million a year.

Because Ortiz is on the injured list you nit wit. Who else are you going to play at 3rd? Bauers? Hoskins? Yah, that is what I thought. At least try to understand what is going on with the team.
Crew is the team getting destroyed in this series, typical for playing at LA for them lately. Bullpen has let them down this whole road trip.
Where things stand after Saturdays games, looks like all teams in the division lost today:
2024 National League Central Standings
Team | W | L | PCT | GB | STRK |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Milwaukee | 52 | 38 | .578 | - | L3 |
St. Louis | 46 | 42 | .523 | 5 | L1 |
Pittsburgh | 42 | 46 | .477 | 9 | L1 |
Cincinnati | 42 | 47 | .472 | 9.5 | L2 |
Chicago | 41 | 49 | .456 | 11 | L1 |
Brewers are 1-9 against the Dodgers in their last 10 meetings.
In fairness to Milwaukee, they have overachieved this season but itâs just not a good matchup. Especially our pitchers v their primary hitters.
The good news is the NL Central is absolute garbage and the Brewers still seem very much in control of the division. The bad news is Philly and LAD are clearly the class of the NL and if you end up as a 3 seed or worse you are at a serious disadvantage.
Sunday's line up for the 3:10 game, Keuchel on the mound. Looks like Contreras gets the day off Monasterio as well:
hitters | H-AB | HR | RBI | SB | AVG |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
63-251 | 9 | 35 | 9 | .251 | |
52-237 | 13 | 43 | 2 | .219 | |
78-242 | 10 | 38 | 19 | .322 | |
80-342 | 13 | 58 | 11 | .234 | |
2-13 | 0 | 1 | 0 | .154 | |
58-238 | 5 | 24 | 13 | .244 | |
90-313 | 6 | 38 | 28 | .288 | |
V. Capra3B | 0-1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | .000 |
3-7 | 0 | 1 | 0 | .429 |

I thought he was getting a good deal of at bats before the Ortiz injury.
Monasterio is the best we have to play third after Ortiz in our entire system?
Yelich HR 2-0 Crew in the 4th, still batting 1 out but end it, 2-0 Crew. Bottom of the 4th we go
Yeli goes yard! 2-0 good guys.
Chourio has a 12 game hitting streak coming into today.
Iâm not watching the game, as Iâm about to head out to dinner with the family. Howâs the strike zone looking today? Is the umpire calling consistently for both teams?
Thatâs five walks given up by Keuchel already.
You don't walk a 150 hitter to put 2 on with 2 outs to put Ohtani at the plate
But Kuechel gets out of the jam as Ohtani grounds out, whew
We got very lucky there. Keuchel is tiptoing between land mines right now.
Cardinals won today. 4.5 back.
Haase 2 run HR 4-0 Crew
Junis replaces Kuechel in 5th, 1 out 1 on, and gets them out of the inning, to the top of the 6th we go
