This turns out to be the most ludicrous post of the week.
You've got 4.75 days to steal the crown, I have faith in you lad.
Pistol GB posted:It was a high ankle sprain, right? Nothing unusual about Monty's case at all. Those are a b*tch. It's not really about a "setback," he just probably tested it and it wasn't ready. That's how it goes with those.
**edit** conflicting reports that it was a high ankle sprain. Demovsky called it a high ankle sprain, while Ian Rapaport said it was a regular ankle sprain.
packerboi is right, Monty said he never had an ankle sprain like this before and didn't know what to expect as far as the recovery. Similarly for the medical staff. McCarthy has mentioned in the past that when a player has a 1st time injury it is new for all (player and med staff) in collecting data with regards to treatment, response, and recovery.
Hooray....
Where is Andre Rison when we need him?

From Brian Carriveau:
#Packers WR Ty Montgomery tells WOZN radio in Madison that he'll be having surgery on his ankle next week.

Surgery for an ankle sprain? Seems coming back before he was ready created something more than we've been told. Even if he had a high ankle sprain I don't recall anyone ever needing surgery. Maybe he damaged the high and low ligaments or maybe has a slight break in his tibia or fibula if he returned too soon?
Could be a bone spur or any number of issues. We could speculate all day. We'll find out eventually I'm sure.
I got a high ankle sprain 6 years ago that never healed right and still hurts. I can't run ever again. I cheaped out on the surgery to remove the calcification that was the core of the problem when the doctor told me even if the surgery was successful, the calcification might only come back. Also it was in a really tricky area with blood vessels and nerves or whatever.
Good by me I can do all the machines at the gym and snowboard and swim and who needs to pound pavement? I really hope TM's recovery goes well but there are no guarantees on those. They can be serious sh*t.

Except for the fact that James Jones is almost certainly an infinitely more likable guy than Rison (and that Rison was a 5 time Pro Bowler)
