we have been treated to one of the most glorious four-game post-season runs in nfl history. my top ten plays:

1 - tramon williams picks vick to clinch wild card game. people may quibble, but this was the play that got ar and mm their first postseason win, and put the packers on their way. plus, it was one hell of a clutch, athletic play by an undrafted, unheralded player who suddenly and unexpectedly burst into pro bowl form, seemingly overnight.

2 - bj raji's pick pick six. iced the game against a hated rival. revenge for the fridge. plus, one hell of an athletic play by a 350 pound stud. loved it.

3 - rodgers to jennings on 3 and 10 in the 4th quarter of sb 45. game changer.

4 - tramon's pick six of matt ryan right before half. burried the falcons. took their will.

5 - collins' pick six of rothlisberger.

6 - matthews forced fumble/bisshop recovery in 4th quarter of sb 45.

7 - rodgers to jennings down the seam for six in second quarter of sb 45.

8 - rodgers to nelson - down to the 2 in sb 45

9 - shields pick seals nfc champsionship game.

10 - brandon jackson's screen pass td v. philly

feel free to dismantle.

i love the green bay packers!

Lots of huge plays- more than I think we realize but they all went in GBs favor so I won't argue!

I keep going back to DeSean Jackson. I remember that day when I just happened to tune in when he capped an unbelievable comeback against the Giants by running a punt back to win the game for the Eagles. Had Philly not won that game who knows? Maybe the Packers aren't even in a position to make it. Then in the playoff game Bishop makes the shoestring tackle (Jackson) that likely saves a TD.

Also, it's ironic that Detroit of all teams had a major impact on the playoff picture. It's easy to to forget that they went down to Tampa late in the year and beat those guys. Had Tampa won that game it's likely the Bucs would have secured that last seed (#6) and not GB.

My personal favorite was the BJ Raji pick simply because it happened against the Bears in a tight game and you gotta love the big guys making plays like that. I also liked the CMIII/Pickett fumble caused on Mendenhall- when it seemed like momentum was all in Pittsburgh's favor.

Thinking about that play and similar ones, along with the bigger plays listed, reminds one of the incredible number of things that had to go completely right in order for the Packers to get where they got. Aside from playing with great skill and poise, they also led absolutely charmed lives for six weeks.

+1 Often times, that what it takes - a combo of being talented and having things go your way when it counts the most.

But Akers missing two field goals was big.

So was James Jones dropping a sure TD pass. He makes that catch and Akers doesn't matter.

Football is all about making plays, and the Packers consistently did that more than their opponents did in the playoffs.

Wait, which drop are we talking about? I lost track. Hard to keep up.
Some of the throws AR has made this post season have just been unhuman. One thing I think he can credit Frett with is his rocket balls. Sitting on the bench and seeing him zip those finger breakers in between defenders I'm sure inspired AR to develop that skill too. AR loves working with a chip on his shoulder and I think #4 kind of gave him a few too. Now, not only does he have the mental aspect and accuracy down but he also has a crazy release and a heater to go with it.
