Another pathetic effort so far. Bucks down 3 at the half to an 11-22 team at home despite AJ Green going 5 for 6 from three.

Middleton is a complete blackhole tonight and the last game. He's scoreless at the half in 12 minutes.

Dame over the last three games:

3 for 14

6 for 20

And tonight, 3 for 12.

12 for his last 46, or 26.1%, and doesn’t play a lick of defense.

And this after he stayed away longer during the holiday.

What a fucking turd he’s turned into.

Like I said. He’s a turd.

How does Jon Horst keep his job? This team is laughably bad. Lillard is a black hole n defense, and half asses it on offense at least half the games he’s on the court. Khris Middleton is a nothing. The rest of the starters on this team after Giannis wouldn’t start in Europe, let alone the NBA.

And we have virtually no draft picks for the next four years.

Maybe you flip Dame for Butler and you clear Dame's salary for the next couple of years? Make a run with Butler and then reset around Giannis after this year.

No one is going to want Dame at his salary for 112 million the two years after this. Butler has a player option after this year.

Like I said the other night, this is typical of a Doc Rivers coached team.   Show signs of life then completely fall apart.  There’s a reason he’s blown more 3-1 playoff leads than any coach in NBA history.

Unless this team has a deep playoff run I fully expect they will blow this team up after the season and quite frankly, they probably should.

As for the idea of trading Dame for Butler, I’ll go a step further.   I would trade Dame and Middleton for Herro and Butler, if that’s possible.  Miami would probably never agree to it, but something has to change.  I don’t think Dame wants to be in Milwaukee, and we all know Butler doesn’t want to be in Miami.   Butler for Dame straight up would work with salaries.

Throw in Connaughton  too.   Anything to get rid of that stiff corpse.

They have two, big underlying problems. They can beat anyone if Giannis, Dame, and Middleton are healthy and actually trying.

Giannis has missed some shots he usually hits the last week or so, but he's still pouring in 30 on over 50% shooting. And he clearly tries on defense. He's not a problem.

Dame is slumping offensively, but his defense is the ongoing issue. He can actually be average (or even better) when he tries, but he only tries on defense in crunch time. He tried during the NBA cup and he tried during the 20-0 run against the Nets. If he put any effort in the rest of the game, they'd be a lot better.

Middleton tries, but it's looking more and more like he's just cooked. They are noticeable worse on defense when he plays, and the blow-byes happen a lot. You can't really be upset with him about it, he's just had too many leg injuries to be anything but a 6th man type now.

They aren't winning in the playoffs with this version of Middleton even if Dame actually puts effort in.

The other guys play roles, but you can rotate them for various opponents. They make differences in the margins, but the team is built around 3 max players who right now are playing like 1 max player, a half-assing guy, and a guy that can't move laterally.

Trade Dame for something at the deadline, let Giannis try to average 40, and reset with some ability to do things without being beyond the second tax apron next summer (and hope Giannis stays).

Dame's mental health after the holidays and seeing his family. I believe he has more important things on his mind than basketball.

Sure, he'd love to win a title but it seems he doesn't want to put the work in to get there. You saw what this team is capable of in that cup run.

Dame hitting 26% from 3 is worse than Giannis shooting less than 50% from the stripe

Glad we got the 1 chip in 2021.

Just put Giannis on the Knicks and be done with it already ...NBA 🖕🏼

The end of the game yesterday for Dame looked like Willie Mays playing for the Mets or Aaron Rodgers playing for the Jets. He throws a pass out of bounds because it looked like he didn't want to take the final shot and then missed a relatively open 3 to tie on the final shot (just like the previous game).

But the worst part was him crying to the officials for a foul afterward on a play where there wasn't any contact. He had the look of a loser. Which is kind of what he is. He's a guy that could put up big numbers for a mediocre team, but doesn't want to put in the effort to really take advantage of his talent. He's more interested in rapping and being on podcasts.
