Since bruising his shoulder in the season opener against New Orleans, Williams has not been the same in-your-face, surrender-nothing coverman that he was a year ago. He has had to adapt his game to the injury.

"It’s different," Williams admitted after practice Thursday. "There are some adjustments you have to make. Obviously, you can’t play the same game."

Prior to the bruised shoulder, Williams had never missed a practice let alone a game due to injury. That streak ended the week after the injury when he was unable to make it back for the Carolina game.

Williams came back for Chicago and played again against the Broncos Sunday, but coordinator Dom Capers was careful not to use him the way he had before. The hope was that Williams wouldn't aggravate the injury and would get stronger each week.

"You/re kind of out there trying to play, but trying to stay out of some action," he said. "You’re trying to heal at the same time you’re playing. That’s kind of what it’s like. The defense has done a great job of keeping guys off me, stopping the run and doing a great job. I’ve made it through these first two weeks pretty well." continue
I'd imagine he's back to full health now that he's talking about it. I'd hope that's the case.

I suspect that Matt Ryan will target Tramon early and often given how bad he got creamed by Mr. Williams last January

Slowly coming back:
Cornerback Tramon Williams said that he used his right shoulder more than he has all season and came out of the game feeling pretty good.

Williams has had to back off on some of his physical play after badly bruising his right shoulder in the New Orleans game. He is still wearing a restrictive harness on his shoulder, but he said he's starting to do things he couldn't before.

"I was actually able to do some bump-and-run," Williams said. "It felt pretty good. It's getting better." continue
