With all of 24 Home runs in 5 minor league seasons he was not brought up with that in mind. He is a real fine defensive OF, 4th right now on the team, can bunt and steal with outstanding speed. Right now it does not look like he will be in the starting lineup any time soon with those other 3 out there.

Google, probably the same thing you used Gammons. Morris has been better of late but isn't as strong as he was in Huntsville.

Buzzer sound. Wrong again. I actually watch the games.

There's usually an adjustment period going from AA to AAA, and he's starting to make it now. His average is down about 40 points, but his home run rate is way up. He's got 10 HR and 25 RBI in 157 at bats (a home run every 15.71 at bats in 2013 vs a home run every 18.64 at bats in 2012). That would be close to 40 HR, and 100 RBI in a full season. So his power numbers are fine.

His walk rate is also up quite a bit this year.

7.0% 2012 (40 walks in 571 plate appearances)
10.11% 2013 (18 walks in 178 plate appearances)

He's gone from nearly 3 strike outs per walk to nearly 2 strikeouts per walk. That's encouraging.
Braun needs to sit for a few games. His thumb is bothering him, and he's having a hard time driving the ball consistently. He's also waving a lot at balls away. We're not making a run at the playoffs, so why they don't get him healthy is beyond me. He's one of the few people that will bring people to the games, and if he's not hitting, fewer people will want to go to Miller Park.

This team doesn't need Hank Jr. now. Optimism!

You'd be the jackass standing on the Titanic asking when they were coming around to serve tea while it plummeted to the bottom of the ocean

We need change is what we need. The simple fact is they took a calculated risk with the pitching staff and thought other guys like Axford and Weeks would come around and they lost their bets. It's time to start thinking about the future because this season is done.

I doubt Mark A is going to stand for the status quo because at some point the novelty of going to Miller Park to watch a dreadful team is going to wear off and by the end of summer they won't be drawing dick if they continue to play like this.

Time to start thinking about gutting the roster of the big money players like Ramirez and Weeks and Lohse and Hart. There's no point in tying up that kind of money in guys that aren't going to help them this year or next year for that matter. Recoup some of $$$ and hope you can address the talent next year with a new GM and maybe some new coaches.
