Twins vs Brewers, Game 2

Bukauskas pitching the 5th for Milwaukee.

Bukauskas walks Correa to load the bases. 1 out.

Bases loaded, 1 out for the twins in the top of the 5th

3-0 to Santana. No where to put him. Finally, a strike! Count full on a foul ball.

Santana hits a ground out ball driving in 1 run and 2 out, now. 1-2 Brewers. Three out on a liner, from Castro,  to RF where Chourio is waiting.

Crew escapes only allowing 1 run, now 2-1 as the brewers come up in the 5th.

Chourio slams his 1st ML HR!  1-3 CREW!! Chourio gets the cold shoulder treatment, in the dug out!

We'll see what happens once MLB scouts get a read on Chourio and how to pitch him, but he looks like he's got that "IT" factor that great players have.

Twins go down, in order in the top of the 6th.

Twins come back and tie. Will be disappointing if the Brewers don't go 162-0 this year.

Brewers give up 5 runs in the 7th. 6-3 Twins.

Well, depth on this Brewers pitching staff was gong to be a concern. Ross' control problems early in the game (2 hits and 5 walks in less than 4 innings) forced them to go to the bullpen in the 4th and eventually that catches up to you.

He ended up striking out, but that was a very encouraging at bat by Turang. Fouled off 8 pitches and fought hard. That showing some progress from last year.

Kiriloff triples with 1 out. Twins about to add to their lead. Pinch runner for Kiriloff.

Wilson strikes out Buxton. 2 out.

Wilson finally strikes out Kepler. To the bottom of the 8th we go.

Jeffers drives in a run. 7-3 Twins.

Hoskins walks. A baserunner!

Monasterio strikes out. 1 down. Sanchez up. Sanchez strikes out. Dunn at bat. Dunn strikes out. Brewers lose 7-3. Split with the Twins.

This team has some real talent, and a whole lot of speed.

Early signs are very positive for Yeli. I don’t expect a return to his MVP peak, but there’s no reason why he can’t hit 25 bombs. That would be a huge boost to this team.

I found out that T-Mobile magenta plan members get free MLB.tv, so I’m going to be able to watch (and comment) about a lot of Brewers baseball this year. It will be nice to see the team play more often.
