Ah, not loving this at all.  Call me a sexist, but this is not going to go over well.  People are not watching, like it or not, because of the national anthem and the flag throwing fiasco, this is going to push them over the edge.  I’ll be able to listen to queen radio for this game so not listening to them.  Wow.....two women announcers.....

I watch some of the games from Canada and have listened to a female announcer. She was better than most of the clowns that are the big names on network TV. All I want to hear is reporting on the game. She did it well with a minimum of senseless chatter.

Have listened to a woman doing some Big 10 football games, and I just can’t get used to it.  I agree, not a lot of chatter out of her which was nice.  May-be I should give them a chance........

Scientists has shown that humans, regardless of sex, respond differently to a female voice than to a male voice. Not better, not worse just differently. In the old TV show, Dragnet, the main character used to say, “just the facts”. That’s all I want. Every thing else is fluff. Sometimes fluff is interesting, most of the time it is not.

When I was in the military the first time I had a female boss, I stumbled when I want to say “Yes Sir” instead of “Yes Ma’m”. She was used to it and let it go. Over time I found her voice to be more clear than that of her predecessor. A matter of a pitch and tone thing, I think

What is killing the NFL are two areas (IMHO); 1. absurd rule changes making the game unwatchable and unrecognizable and 2. The politicization, specifically political correctness in a game people want to watch to get away from all the politicization crap inundating all forms of media.

Goodell must go

The NCAA would be wise to expand the playoff excitement to something other than voting and eliminate the cupcake 65-3 matchups.

Well most of the male announcers are so dreadful that anything semi-competent from those two would be an easy win for women everywhere. They should also promote that one woman to referee, put her in charge of a Packer game, and just have her not flag Clay for roughing the passer.

Boom, patriarchy smashed.

It's a lunge for ratings because they see their share dropping.  I don't think that's the only reason, they're probably very qualified for the job.  But are you going to tell me there were never two women capable of calling a game before this one?  BS.  Could have been done 20 years ago but the network sees the potential for pulling more of a demographic in now that others are leaving.

I’m anxiously awaiting your complaints about politics in the NFL during the month long military fetishization.

Because you are a man of principle and you abhor any politics in your sport, not just the politics you disagree with.

I believe that woman is Beth Mowins, if I'm not mistaken, not one of the 2 who will be doing this game. She sounds as competent and knowledgeable as any of her male counterparts and can certainly over-embellish and work herself into a tizzy with the best of them. My only complaint is that her voice really grates on me. Sounds like a gal trying to talk like a dude, un-natural in some way.

Let me know when two drag queens are calling the game.  I'll be riveted to the commentary.

Can we keep politics out of this?

Were you really offended by that silly little joke?
