Score one for family. Should be a fun year for my alma mater. I went  to their their Sweet 16 run back in the early 00’s Me and 12,000 Gator fans in Jacksonville.

Check out this article from Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

The best player in UWGB history could have also gone to some more elite schools. Tony Bennett ended up in Green Bay because his father was the head coach.

Patrick Baldwin Jr. stays to play for his Dad at UWM. His father is 47-70 there. He might just have saved his father's job.

Does Greg Gard have a son?

There needs to be a way to ensure Marquette and UWM play.  David Joplin - a top 100 recruit in the country who played for Brookfield Central- is heading to the Golden Eagles.

I hope Wisconsin looks at this a little more closely.  The top half dozen recruits in this state aren’t going to UW.  Tyrese Hunter out of Racine is a top 50 player in the country and he’s going to Iowa State.

The top player in the state for 2022 (Seth Trimble) has already committed to Michigan.   We already know about the other fish that got away in 2020- namely Jalen Johnson to Duke and James Graham to Maryland.

When top players in this state don’t commit to play for the flagship university in the state that tells you a lot about Gard and the status of the program.

By the way - Marquette is building a monster.  They got 3 commits this year in the top 100 and another top 100 transfer guy (in 2019) from Clemson.  Assuming Dawson Garcia sticks around a couple more years that is going to be a really good team in a short amount of time.
