As long has 10 doesn't revert to his late game hero-ball ways, I don't think he's going to be the one to blame this season for losses. He has shown himself to be a capable QB with exquisite arm tallant, who can run the offense as MLF calls it.

To me the potential for problems lies squarely on MLF and his play selection. While I appreciate his willingness to gamble more than Kyle Shanahan, I do appreciate 'Lil Shanny's commitment to RTFB early and often, because it usually pays dividends in the 3Q & 4Q.

Granted, Whiners have had great and stingy defenses, so they usually keep scores close going into the 2H...a luxury MLF never really had with Pettine Kitty and JoeBa...but that was his own fault...he kept them around.

My hope is that Hafley (still workshopping a nickname for him) will provide if not a stingy D, one that can generate takeaways, and keep the pressure on the opposition's D. A luxury we have not had really since the Compers Superb Owl year.
