For those who may be slightly interested:

Son had his last IV chemo on Monday. Had a bunch of tests a couple of weeks ago. Tumor shrunk 70%!! Upper 10% of cure (I don't know if I quoted that correctly, but it's a good thing). Right now 80% that it won't come back. Round 1 of 3 finished - 2 rounds to go (radiation/oral chemo followed by surgery). He's looking good and his medicine for the side effects from the medicine for his side effects are working well, though he always felt rough until 3 or 4 days before the next dose.

I will probably skip our annual game again this year as I won't go without him.

He traded his Audi for a 2001 red Corvette convertible. (YOLO) I haven't had a chance to drive it yet. (Something I inherited from my mom: "Hang on, your mother's driving.") My first car was a '66 Mustang convertible, if that tells you anything.

How is everyone else doing?

Awesome and fantastic news…….so happy, lots to go, but damn such positive news.  ❤️ 🙏🏻 👍🏻  And you in a 2001 red Corvette convertible.  👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

Son is now listed as NED!!! (No Evidence of Disease!!!)

He had his surgery to remove the dead tumor (chemo/radiation killed it all) and now has an ostomy bag until December 8. On that day everything will be put back together. He has problems finding food that doesn't make him feel uncomfortable, but Mom made him her dinner rolls and they seemed to "sit" okay. That and the made-from-scratch angel food cupcakes for his birthday.

I'm looking forward to having a merry and blessed Christmas this year. (Son is skipping Thanksgiving, obviously.)

I drove the 'Vette back in August. Could only go up to 4th gear because there was too much traffic and the speed limit was 45 mph. (And Mr. QO was in the passenger seat.) I really need to try it out on the back roads around home.
