USA 2, Mexico NIL!

The USA qualify with two matches to spare!  (Costa Rica are also mathematically certain of qualification.)  Panama scored a late equalizer in Honduras to save a 2-2 draw, which means that technically Mexico are now 5th because they've scored fewer goals than Panama.  Either way, there's a good chance the Mexicans won't finish any higher than fourth, having to play a two-legged playoff against New Zealand to qualify.

Yeah, Mexico were about 10 minutes from going out.  They still have to beat mighty New Zealand though.

Bosnia qualified!  I'm looking forward to the UEFA playoffs.  In one pot, we have Croatia, Portugal, Greece, and Sweden; in the other we have France, Ukraine, Romania, and Iceland.  Who gets the bad luck of facing France, and who gets to luck out with Iceland?

Looks like Ghana is going to qualify as well.

You think Egypt is going to win 5-0 and advance on away goals?

Only if Hosni Mubarak is allowed to play. That old guy, he has a wicked right foot.

I think New Zealand will upset Mexico. Those guys play with heart and this Mexico team has none.

In order to be able to host a game of such importance in November, he has his work cut out for him.The field is not heated and the only thing that the Iceland Football Association has to protect it is a tarp, which is not likely to do much good should it begin to freeze as is usual at this time of year.
