You'd rather he call a 50-yard bomb on third and 1?

Stave has more than stepped up his game, impressively so. Really, Wisconsin has been their own worst enemy in this game.
Still, stripes could call just one or two of the holds against O$U, cause they certainly are not hard to see.
Bucky still can't defend the hail mary. Own worst enemy.
Hold on. I think Wisconsin just had a penalty while they were in the lockeroom,
Seriously? Really? that's unacceptable...I don't care if you have an 8th grader playing DB....what a morale killer going into the half.

This
Double this.
I like some Emminem stuff.
This game bumper stuff is horrid.
Hanging around.
This drive will decide if we stay.
....apparently not.
O$U may have figured that out during halftime.
Horrible throw by Stave.
Borland will be fun to watch on Sundays.
Too much Fuk-eye talent tonight.
I think Miller is overrated, but that was a pretty slick play on that TD
The fact that I wake up tomorrow and I'm not a Hawkeye fan makes waking-up worthwhile.
This team is not bad.....
.....not good, but not bad.
Capital One Bowl here we come!
Losing to #4 Ohio State in the Horseshoe isn't a season ender. I don't fault any team for that.
Losing to ASU was were the season turned.
****, if Gordon is hurt...
Saturday Night football.
15 minute commercial breaks.
GAH!
As suggested in chat, let it be a cramp
Some fight left in Bucky.
Good on you boys.
At least we're going down swinging.
Awwww Hell.
2 TD's and we win.
I love the French.
Never thought I'd say that.
Oh well.
A nice effort.
As you said, it wasn't an expected win.
I think we did more than well enough, it give me good hopes for the new regimn.
There should not be another loss this year, fugg it, including the bowl.
+1
excellent post!

In many respects they played good enough to beat Ohio State. They had almost 400 yards of offense and were even in time of possession, and Hyde was held to less than 100 yards rushing.
However, you can't miss a chip shot FG, drop an easy INT, and have several drive killing penalties (no matter how ticky tack they appeared) and win against a really good opponent. When you look at the stat sheet, the Buckeyes played almost a flawless game and UW had a chance right at the end to tie it up. That's encouraging.
What's discouraging is that it seems like the Badgers are just good enough but can't get over that hump. That's been the story for the last three years now. They very well could be 5-0 right now with not much standing in their way of an undefeated season but it's not meant to be,
Should be fun to see how the rest of the season goes but they missed a golden opportunity last night to beat OSU.
Two completely different things. It was not an expected win for Bucky. Most of the country expected an O$U win. Wining in the horseshoe would have been an upset. The Badgers are still in it to win it even if the expectations of the nation are that O$U is the more talented team. The team expects to win it, but we aren't on the team. So no, it was not an expected win like Purdue was. Different scenarios.
Stave did a lot more than I expected, gives me hope about his development. He still sails balls, throws worm burners, and almost gets receiver killed by being a tic late, but he cut down on those errors last night. He really is the crux of how good this team can be. Even with the slowest squad of TE's I have ever seen (w/o Pederson), those guys were getting open because of so much attention to the running game. It would be nice if there was another WR besides Abby, but for all that lack of talent, he still gets open. Stave just needs to keep improving so he hits Abby on the move instead of the above types of errant passes.
Some real positives from the defense, despite some horrible, game changing plays. Dline is better than I thought (man they were held, wow). Shelton looks like he could become a difference maker.
In the end, Bucky was his own worst enemy and still made a game of it. I had hoped with Bielema leaving that the team would be able to defend the hail mary, but apparently some habits take awhile to fade away.
I am/was a Stave supporter going back to last season. Before getting hurt I thought he looked like a project that could be really good as a 3rd and 4th year starter. I still have that hope for the program and games like last night are steps in his progression.
But they didn't turn it over. They also really didn't have a lot of penalties and Miller looked sharp. Personally, I don't think O$U can play THAT much better than they did against UW.
On the other hand, the Badgers made some critical mental and physical errors that really came back to haunt them, The missed FG and dropped INT resulted in a 10 point swing. Sure, the muffed punt that was called back and the "non-fumble" on the awful facemask penalty were big but you know the refs aren't going to be on your side in a game like that.
I do think despite the loss we saw some positive things. Stave made a leap last night. The patchwork OL played pretty well albeit a few dumb penalties. Abby was ridiculous. And the young secondary, while they gave up some big plays, also showed there is some talent back there.
I really like Anderson's responses after the game too. They've had a couple of crushing losses and I don't think he's the type of guy that will be OK just to be in those games. This guy is wired to win those games.
If the Badgers can get another good pass rusher or two and find another decent WR they are in really good shape. When a guy like Urban Meyer says that 20 and 25 might be the two best runners they will see in the next couple of years that says a lot.
To make you guys feel a little better:
Has there been any word on Gordon? I know they are off this week but I was hoping to hear something.
